No Exhaust/Intake for Dark Period - Dehumidifer Only

My 5x4 closet gets really humid during the dark phase. I have no intake or exhaust, but i Leave the door wide open during the light period.

Will a small dehumidifer solve any problems that may arrise from leaving the door shut during the dark period, even though I still won't have inatke or exhaust for the 12 hours of dark?

you should think about an exhaust. my room is a little smaller than yours. i had the same prob. I added an exhaust for the dark period an its dropped my humidity to around 40% from 75+ in the dark

Ok, cool. So, if I install an exhaust in the ceiling is it ok if I don't hook up any ducting to lead the air out the window and just let the air into the into the space above the ceiling? I live in an apartment so I don't know how I will make ducting go from above my ceiling and out into the outside! Will mold be an issue above the ceiling in the space between my aparment and the people that live above me? I will be moving out in 4 months so even if it mold develops it is ok with me as long as it doesn't effect my crop.

mold wont be an issue. smell might be depending on the strain. i dont have my exhaust blowing out a window either. you should be all set to let it vent into the room the closet is in.

I can't really let it vent into the room the closet is in since I live in a studio apartment and the door has to be shut during the dark phase since I have other lights on. The only hole that is in the room would be the hole in the ceiling where there is a light socket at. I may have to just stick a mini dehumdifier in there for the dark phase and hope it doesn't get to hot.
