good research dude, ive always heard it let off some toxin because of a coating on it or something, i guess thats just the cans and fixtures
 
Ive always heard that Brass, alum. stainless and plateing are ok.
Ive Bought many pipes from the head shops made of each.
Copper is the metal you dont use.
 
I guess my asbestos insulated Lead tubeing will not be a big sale item I had hopeed it would be........sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
