No humidity meter or glass bottles cure?

I harvested 23 Days ago, plants were cut off at main stalk and hung in tent for 10 days, then manicured and buds put in paper bags 13 days ago.
With the shutdown in my country i have been unable to source enough glass jars for the next stage of the cure. I have a paper bag full of 500gm of GG#4 buds. Also, i have misplaced my small humidity meter that fits in jars.

On the plus side i do have a vacuum sealer and bags. Its the beginning of Autumn where i live, temps around 60-70F day/night, and humidity averaging 70%

So, if i skip the glass jars stage, how long should i keep the buds in the paper bag before i vacuum seal them for long term storage?

Hmm, it occurs to me that if i bury my tent hygrometer in the paper bag of buds it should stabilize on a meaningful RH%

Can you freeze them? if you can just dry them to a good dryness you would want to smoke, (test in a joint, if it smokes evenly all the way through and not to hard to light up then it's probably perfect) then Vac them and freeze them. I prefer my buds more on the fresh side. But everybody different

Dont have the freezer space to keep them frozen, ive hopefully got enough weed for about the next 2 years so cured and vacuum sealed should be good for that much time.

Who cares about humidity - its 70% so according to those that care about humidity your buds shit because shouls have been 50-60%.

But real world your bud should be dry enough to smoke and taste great after your extended dry and humidity didnt stop it drying properly as the above poster said.

Tupperware will work as good as glass, just about anything thats got a lid on works. Probably dont need a humidity meter by now as you didnt before.

Glass jars do work slightly better than Tupperware. Not sure why but I think Tupperware leaks slightly over time... dont shoot me... it's just what I have noticed. Tupperware is more convenient as it can be way bigger

turkey bags work too

try not to over vacuum the bags it will crush the buds! just a quick light vacuum. Also , try making several small bags instead of one large one, then vacuum seal them again in packs of 2 or 3. having double layers will help

as said above you need to have the buds dry enough before putting them away for long time storage. 55%-62% is ideal

Dryer> not as dry. You can can always rehydrate. But can’t get rid of mold.

Most commercial growers cure in giant turkey bags and 55 gal totes so even tho I prefer jars myself don’t think it’s that important

Basically this. Most important part to me is a good 2 week give or take hanging slow dry in a cool 60-65f dark room with 55-60 humidity.

Commercial growers generally know very little and overthink everything.

It would be better to write what the bud moisture is than just quote air humudity. Do you know what air humidity means to bud moisture?
