No light right before harvest?

Does anyone know about turning of the lights for the last few days before harvest? I've heard if they stay dark before you cut them it'll increase the trichome production. does anyone have any advice?

Ive heard this also but im not sure if its true.

I think the method is to just cut them down right after a night time period like a few days like you mention. Should have higher yelds of THC. I have not tested this but think it would be hard to tell the difference if you were to test it with two clones.

I have tried it and not sure but it did not harm them. Left lights off for 2 days. You always want to harvest before the lights come on as the plant moves most or the moisture stored in the leaves below ground for storage till sun up. That's why the leaves droop at night. So it makes for better tasting smoke.

studies have shown things that do make it change. Someone else has posted it on this site somewhere already. need around 72 hours of darkness for a good change, try to keep your temps around 50-60 too.
