Really? Do you know what quality of minerals your municipality is buying? Cheapest bidder. For all we know it comes from Fukushima

I really don't know if the water company I get my water from applies anything to my water besides chlorine, because it is from a lake..
All I know is that it comes out of my tap at a PPM of 325, and a PH of 7.0, which is pretty good I think.
I fuck with my water anyway, to add nutes and to usually bring my PH down, so what's a few more chems in the water have to do with marijuana growing?
I really think it is over emphasized.
I can understand the chlorine, you don't want to kill your microbes, but RO water, it it really need in a city water system supply?

Lucky my tap water reads as 15 to 17 ppm. I let it sit a day and then no problems! Ive used distilled before though, cheaper than ro but maybe in the long run getting a proper ro filter would come up cheaper. Set up a side by side and see what the difference, if any, is for you.

This is just fear-mongering. Why not get a geiger counter to test all your soil, water, and food for plutonium... You can keep it next to your mind control blocking tinfoil hat.

Have used filtered well and city water for years. RO only needed if your water is bad.

Mine reads 200-205PPM. After the chlorine gasses off it'll drop around five points. 195ppm. I have hard water....


You lucked out. My dehumidifier water test between 5-10PPM. Rain water PPM depends on when I collect it. There's lots of dust on the roof.

My tap water is 200-220ppm I've using it about 10 years without issue. No bubbling it or letting it sit for 24hrs to get rid of the chlorine. It's a load of bullshit, there are plenty of nutrients that list chlorine in the guaranteed analysis. Even using organics the amount of bene's that are killed are barely measurable. You might be able to find a water report for your city/town on the internet if you wanna have an idea whats in it.

If you are using SIP, the wick acts as a good filter. Organic too. Easy solution for tap water. Chlorine or chloramine react with the organics in the res and do the thing they do best - bring good stuff to the roots.
