No smell ???

Ok so i got this plant growing and it already started budding, its some bagseed i got here i colombia, i hear everyone talking about the smell and stuff but this one doesnt have any smell, even the other one which i think its male already smells more(its purple power). the other picture is a purple power from nirvana, it is a male right??? i could take some more pictures . i planted the first one on sep 20 and the other one on oct 3.
oh by the way i vegged both plants for 30 days so that would be 1 month into flower for the bagseed. in the first picture is the one in the middle.

im on my first attempt with bagseed and mine doesn't really smell 6 weeks into flower, unless you put your nose in it, or when misting. it will start to smell more as it grows flowers, depending on the strain it might stink like hell or you might not notice at all.

Ok so its all about the strain, and there is the possibility that this one wont stink at all even when fully mature? damn i want it to stink like hell.

What Peter said about the smell. Man those are some beautiful plants!!!! Classic sativa, Columbian Gold. I know everybody raves about Indica but for me it's sativa; I love the mental stimulation part and I don't like being couch-locked like the indica does you. Those babies are sure coming along nicely; must be the sunshine and fresh air.

if you rub the buds together very softly, then smell the buds, they should show their true stank.

Hey thanks man, thats what i was hoping to hear, Columbian Gold sounds nice, but the weed i got the seeds from, wasnt that good, but maybe who knows, now theres hope. and yeah here in colombia where i live the sun is very hot and fresh air all the time, its perfect for growing. everyday i take them from one side of the house to the other so they can take both morning and afternoon sun. here are some pictures of all of them, is easy to tell which one is the bagseed sativa.

never had a female that didn't stink the place up - how does it smell if you gently rub a leaf?

nice pics.........mine dont always smell either. Once you are in my grow room you can smell but it is not overpowering.............

the seeds are only as good as the mom they came from sadly nothing you can do will make it killer if it wasn't to begin with, might be better than the smoke it came from though. i rub the stalk to smell it, don't want to take away from the buds lol. ive only got 4 flowering now so im sure if i had 20 the smell would be stronger.

What do you expect, if it comes from garbage you grow garbage, its all about heredity. Think about it, if you plant small cherry tomatoes , how long you gonna leave em on the vine waiting for them to turn into beefsteak tomatoes???????????? Get good seeds that produce good resin and you will have BIG smelly buds and a problem trying to hide that smell LOL

that's not true at all... The only reason it's bagseed is because it's used for mass-production..which Mexicans, and Columbians, and Afghans really don't care to be exporting America very high quality weed.. bagseed can be anything. Get it right.

Yeah but the kid SAID the weed wasn't good I never said bagweed COULD NOT be good, I relied on his opinion that the stuff sucked, SO YOU GET IT RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!

doesn't matter it could be AK-47 but if the plant was poor quality its seeds will be also its all about genetics. why do you think you throw away the little plants that are struggling to keep up with the big ones, you don't want to carry on that genetic trait.

Hey peter i rubbed the stalk and bang , theres the smell i wanted in my fingers:hump:. that penetrating beautiful smell.
i think all of you are right in some way, its not going to be good weed if it came from bad weed but i still have faith it will be way better. i agree with loop. the bagseed weed comes from acres and acres of land where they just throw seeds and harvest all that grows, no matter if its male ,female or whatever, then they just compress it and thats what they send out for sale, no drying or curing i think it even grows mold on it. on the other hand the good stuff that you buy over here, they call it creepy or grippy i dont know how you spell that, thats just what they call it here. anyway that creepy i think is homegrown separating the females from the males, fertilizing it, and taking very good care of the plant, drying it and then curing it, but still the same seeds, ive never smoked good stuff, thats why this is kind of my experiment i want to compare the purple power from nirvana with the bagseeds from colombia and see if its worth spending on seeds. if its true and the difference is huge ill buy 100 dollar seeds and i wont care, my only mission is not to have a lot of weed ok maybe, but my primary mission is to have the best weed in the world for my and my friends.

Yeah dude, it's because you have a landrace sativa. These plants dont smell much like indicas or hybrid f1 do.
