We all know what his promises mean now. Nothing new was said, and no real change. No hope any longer that he will improve.
It struck me as pure political calculation about how to remain relevant while not changing his ideals and goals. This flawed, government-centric ideology is what is killing the American spirit right now. Every time he speaks, we either learn more details that we don't like, or are reminded of failed promises. Why continue down the same path when logic and popular sentiment resist it ?
Also, that "spending freeze" is just making it look like something is being done. No, it's more interesting than that .. it's a way to fix in place all the spending increases from the last year.
Bank guy - six figures = evil , tax them
Government guy - six figures = good, give them another raise.
I'm glad we have such intelligent people to let us know who is good and bad. I wouldn't be able to figure this out otherwise.
What would happen if government weren't there to keep all the bad capitalists away ?
We owe our great politicians and government our debt and praise, and they can tax all they want .. it's my civil duty to make sure everyone ( that
they have determined is worthy ) has a "seat at the table". On second thought,
arrogant government pricks.
