The barn was dry fans were 6 ft away no humidity. Temps at night got to around 40 degrees. It was put in jars when stem made nice snap. Then packs we're at 62 percent humidity. Seeds were bought from well known company. The Jack herer and Durban poison came out great. Just blueberry one.
"The barn was dry"
---humidity needs to be around 60%
"Temps at night got to around 40 degrees"
---pretty cool. Ideally the temp should be around 60°F
"It was put in jars when stem made nice snap"
--- In my experience, this is too dry, normally. I don't like this reference point because stem sices and structures vary too much for it to be reliable across the board.
"Then packs we're at 62 percent humidity"
--- Don't need these. If over dried, they don't bring the moisture back to the buds. They are dead and done curing. It's too late.
When the buds are dried properly, when you put them in a jar, it should settle in the 58-62% range and stay there as long as that jar is sealed. If it stays lower than that for days, it's too dry. If it creeps higher, open the lid and let then breathe and burp them until it settles in that range.
As mentioned before, you want air movement, but you do not want the fans blowing on the buds. It will dry them way too fast. Boveda packs don't fix over drying. And it's debatable whether or not they are detrimental to the cure. I'd work on getting the dry dialed in and lose the boveda packs altogether.
Because seeds come from a good company guarantees nothing. Even the most fire genetics can have duds here and there.
