Noob 1st Grow - Questions

I transplanted my baby and she's looking good.

Here are some pics of the soil I ended up using and some pesticide to get rid of the bug problem.

The spray has .02% of Pyrethrins - I'm pretty sure that's safe stuff to take em out

The soil has .21% nitrogen, .07 phosphate, 0.14 potash (K?) I gave it a nice amount of natural spring water after the transplant.

Is this Garden Safe Houseplant & Garden Insect Killer safe for her? The Miracle Gro mix won't harm my plant? (Dirt seemed really nice)

who gave you the idea to use miracle grow?

It's like the only potting soil they sold at wal-mart...the other one was an offbrand with the same exact stats and ingredients.

have you read anything about miracle grow on this forum. I know its possible to use, but its supposed to be the worst thing in the world to grow weed with. You should do some reading man.

shit man - there was nothing else..I figured potting soil for the most part was made of the same things My brother convinced me to just get it.

Is that spray ok for getting rid of the bugs?

Will my plant still prosper with this soil?

I know there is a way to make MG work but i think it is a pain in the ass. Ive heard that it dosnt have the right makeup and it burns plants, and that it dosnt have enough nutes to last through flowering.

I use stuff called ProMix BX with Mycorise.You should call all the greenhouses and garden centers in your area to see who carries it. It is ph buffered with lime. Lime has a ph of 7, so when you add it to soil it tends to want to keep the ph of the soil at or close to 7. Some adjustment will prob be necessary. I use General Hydroponics 3 part ferts. You mix the fert with water and water your plants with it. You can use any hydro fert, but remember to start at half the recomended dosage(the dosage charts are for hydro resevoirs not soiless) and increase untill you find a strength that works for your plants without burning them. You also want to get a ph test kit, and make sure your nute water is between 6-7 preferably 6.5. Flush with ph'd water every other watering or water to 25% runoff everytime. PH is SOOOOOOOO important.

not sure about the spray. i wouldnt use it unless you have to. Are you growing indoor or outdoor? I think miracle grow just sucks in general. if you read up on this forum someone can tell you how to make it work tho.

outdoor bro - i've seen that spray around onthe forum somehwere else...someone said pyrethrins are fine.

i've only got this one plant so its really my baby i love it. first grow ^^

I'm going to try to find an answer for the spray...I found other posts about the MG soil and its all over the place - I think it will be just fine, aside from the pest problem my plant seems extremely hardy

ive got a killer organic fert that is supposed to be the SHIZNIT.

you can get all this shit locally, and then you just water with plain water and let mother nature do her thing. And spray down with your spray.

1 PART supersoil,1 PART Manure(your choice),1 PART Bone Meal(dried),1 PART Blood Meal,and lastly 1/2 bag of Perlite or Vermiculite . Watering needed throughout season..enjoy! KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!

you can get the supersoil at walmart. and everthing else at walmart or a garden center.

If I do get my hands on some nice manure...how would I go about mixing that into the soil if my plant is already in the soil?

Technically how do i 'feed' my plant? put the bannanas on top?

Is maple syrup good subsitute for mollasses LOL ?

I use MG and it seems to be working just fine... but I'm still a noob. It might not be THE BEST but it already has a PH of 6.5

I don't understand why all the hating on Miracle grow....I have a big ass white widow flowering in MG right now....I liked it so much I went out and got some more....I've used Coco and FoxFarm Ocean Forest and neither of them gave me the result this MG did..

However I am using the organic potting soil

Oh...I see you got the time released MG that lasts up t6o 3 months....I would get the organic potting soil if MG is your only option.....you can always transplant
