noob here just a few questions :)

okay guys, i am starting my third grow i am gonna grow like 4-5 plants i am using miracle grow potting soil.

but i just have a few questions:

1: is it better for 24/0 or 18/6?

2: what does flushing do to it?

3:what do people use molasses for?

4: i herd putting egg shells on the soil will help?

5: i was also told to put worms in the soil ? will this help?

also this is my third try the frost killed my last group but i am doing a closet set up now. umm i had my last plants and had them for maybe a week i had them under 2 70's but and things were going well but my husband watered them one day after i had watered them the day b4 and they started growing really tall but the stem wasnt bulking up so the plants got to top heavey and wilted was it because the extra water or what would be the reason for this? the first time i ever grew they grew short and bulky and they were fantastic and grew really strong and fast but my husband didn't touch those and they turned out perfect??

p.s. my first crop went well lol i didnt have two failures.

i am sure i will have more questions but this is all for now thank you in advance!?!

2: what does flushing do to it? removes chems and nasty stuff from your bud

3:what do people use molasses for? ferts and add sweetness to bud

4: i herd putting egg shells on the soil will help? yes

5: i was also told to put worms in the soil ? will this help? yes

1: is it better for 24/0 or 18/6? = It come down to personal preference IMO

2: what does flushing do to it? = when you flush it removes most of the nutrients that are in the soil or grow medium if you accidentally over feed.

3:what do people use molasses for? = Molasses is used to feed the benificial bacteria that live within the soil.

4: i herd putting egg shells on the soil will help? = Idk about this one but I would think it provides soil with calcium?

5: i was also told to put worms in the soil ? will this help? = Just use worm castings.

Do you have a PH tester or test kit?

You want to use molasses every other watering when you feed nutrients.
I use 1TBSP per gal, But you can go as far as 2 TBSP per gal.

It can be due to various reasons.

How was your last feeding schedule like.

Some advice don't water your plants too much. A general rule of thumb for me is water when the top of the soil get crusty and dry that would be a good time to water your ladies.

i watered them like i dunno every 4 days and yes i have testers i know when to water them its just my husband waterd them when he wasnt soupposed to ( i am the grower lol)
i saw him watering her and i said what are you doing he said the soil was crusty but only the top was!! i was sooo mad lol he kinda felt bad:/ but could it have done that if the light was too far away?

o forgot to specify the top was a lil dry but i usually stick my pinkie under the soil to see if it needs to be watered but the soil was still wet enough .

I don't think so, but just stick to a steady watering schedule and make sure you're the only one watering them. P.s don't be mean lol
