Noob like no other

So ladies and gentlemen when I say I’m a new, I’m new to everything when it comes to cannabis. My wife However has need for medicine and I thought no better way then to grow for her. So here is my entry level noob set up. I’ll be growing in a 2x4x5 tent pared with a (I know I’ll probably catch hell for this but) spider farmer 2000 light. I will have a 4 inch carbon filter and exhaust fan in the top along with a 8 inch desk fan at the bottom of the tent for air flow. I’ll be growing in 7 gallon fabric pots and my first attempt of growing cannabis will be from seed from I love growing marijuana. The strain I got is an auto flowering white widow. As far as growing medium I’m leaning towards soil but unsure of which to get and as I live in the middle of nowhere I have to drive an hour in any direction to get to any major civilization. Now I do have a background in growing vegetables quite extensively but that’s outside and it ain’t cannabis so with that being said any advice Or comments of equipment or variety of flowers is greatly appreciated

3gal, you can fit 3 or a tight 4.

I rec u build your own supersoil.
Buy materials - all easy to get for you - spend 3 hours mixing together, throw into garbage can with some water and bacteria and leave it for a month. Then you are good to go and only have to water.

Im finishing round 2 and love it. Complete success 1st try, massive yield high quality etc.

Ok thanks appreciate the advice any recommendations for soil?
I only use Sunshine Mix #4 inert peat-based medium and have for quite a while. Before I switched, I used Promix HP (inert peat as well) for six years, but they went through a spell where the medium's pH was fluctuating wildly batch-to-batch, which is why I switched.

I definitely recommend Sunshine #4, and if Promix has fixed their fluctuation issues, or it was just an unfortunate situation I had by getting a few bags in a row that were bad, I'd recommend it as well.

Spider Farmer makes a great light.

I had the same issues you did in the past with ProMix HP, @spek9

I have not had any consistency issues the the bales I’ve purchased in the past 2 years. I don’t use it for cannabis, but I do use it for peppers.

Go with fox farm ocean for your first time. Also buy their “dirty dozen” nutrients package. It has a pdf online on what to feed and when and how. Also get a ph meter and ph up and down to make sure you are giving it the right stuff. Good luck.... use this website as well www.growweedeasy.com. Everything can be amazon ordered from here out if driving is far
