noob question

If i just put seeds in pots and allowed them to grow, not paying attention to lights, room temps, ppm or ph, etc. would i still be able to grow somewhat decent weed or would it just be so bad it would be pointless to smoke? I would water every day with filtered water and the plants would be in about 55-65 degree room temperature. Please give me some ideas.

Sounds like it would be pointless. Btw, you wouldn't wanna water them every day, and those temps would be too cold...

Yea, they NEED light or sun... or they won't even sprout.... and the ph is very important too, i got a hydro grow going and i dont measure my ppm (that thing is EXSPENSIVE!!) and so far so good...

Well, technically they'd sprout... they'd just die right after sprouting.. not my knowledge.. Jorge said it in his DVD. LOL.

If i were to run a light 24 hours (probably just average lightbulb 60-100 watts) do you guys know how much it would raise my electricity bill per month? I want to grow a plant or two with as little effort as possible. All ideas will help!

24/0 will just be for the 1st four weeks or so, then you cn go to 12/12. I have 3 105w and 2 85w cfls going and my bill is about $25-$40 more, so i not think too much at all. Pay attention to the lights you choose you need cool white for veg and warm whites for flower and with cfl go big or go home (no less than 42w). Remeber less light=light airy buds...

that electricity calculator is very helpful! What is the lowest wattage of bulb you guys could recommend that would still yield at least decent weed?

I'm still new, I'm growing under 42 watt cfls...but you'd need a lot of them.. I've seen some people use the 23 watt cfls but you'd need even MORE of those..LOL

If you're looking for the highest yield, best shyt.. yeah that's the way to go.. but I was just assuming if you were trying to grow pot with nothing that either money or space was a problem..

The less lights you'd have the less bud your plant would produce...

yea you assumed right. Ok well thank you very much i have never grown before but i may give it a try with a very small ghetto set up. I will try to start a grow journal if i give it a try. thanks for all the help!

you will need at least 20000 watts of metal halide light for vegetative state, and 50000 watts of high pressure sodium lights for flowering if you want 2 plants to come out anywhere to be smokeable. lol. plus you will need females, dont we all.
