NOOB to COB Need Help

Hi, i am new to cob lighting i have been researching online and am getting ready to buy my first setup, i have only ever grown using 600 watt hps/mh lighting, i am looking to get a cob setup that can replace a 600 watt hps light, my space is limited so i only need to cover a 3x4 tent, how many cxb3590's do i need i have been told everything from 4-12 cobs for this space, thanks for any responses

i was thinking of the "MAU5 6 KIT" from cutter, it comes with:

6 pcs Cree CXB3590, top bins only

6 pcs Ideal 50-2303CR CXB Holder

6 pcs Angelina Reflector

6 pcs Graphite Thermal pad(TIM) 1 side adhesive for simple assembly on the COB

1 pc PF-P400CC-C140-DIM, 400 Watt LED driver, 286Vout, Dimmable driver allows the COBS to be run at just under 50 watts, the sweet spot of wall plate efficiency

6 Passive Pin fin Coolers suitable for the 50 watt drive( based on eff% calculations), predrilled and tapped for the Ideal Holder and adapter( you will only need a screw driver not a drill press)140mm x 80mm

is this sufficient? i noticed the heatsinks are different than what you recommend SouthCross

I'm cheap. Using 4 cluo48 at 50%. 36 volts running. IR thermometer says the sinks run around 93°f each. Before dimming they ran about 140°f.

Temperatures ran within specifications for the chips. I haven't had a heat problem with four to where it heats the space up. I need to run two more COBs. Two more will lower the heat. The heat coming off four chips is hotter then six chips running at the voltage. Less wattage per chip, less heat...the overall wattage improves. The way I understand it, that's what meant by array efficiency.

another noob question, How do you control how many watts you are running your cobs at? dimmer or does it have to do with the driver size
you generally control power to cobs by limiting current. maximum current is determined by the driver you select

minimum current is also dependent on the driver you select. 0 or 10% with meanwell "B" drivers and usually about 40% with meanwell "A" drivers (some "A" drivers can be further dimmed by lowering voltage depending on driver/cob voltage match)
