Nor Cal/central cal - where to buy bulk high quality organic soil?

Kinda random question for this sub-forum, sorry about that.

Anyone have an idea where to get bulk deals on larger quantities of soil? I'm planning my OD garden and realized it's going to get quite expensive to buy by the bag @ $11 per. I've checked out some of the local places around here that make soil and sell it by the yard, but I've been able to find anything I like.

I'd love to get something similar to roots organic for my base. Anyone have any suggestions? Either soil by the yard or bags by the pallet are what I'm looking for, but open to other suggestions.

I know they have places up by Eureka for stuff like this, anywhere a little further south?

Dan, do you have a business and Tax ID? Cant you get it at cost?
This year im looking for a rep and bulk buys, $5000 per transaction with group buys.

I know the sellers are more then thrilled to get new folks buying stuff and with the economy I cant pass a chance to use my tools as a business owner and get bulk prices.

I do have a business and tax id. If I can get it at cost I am unaware of how I would do that.

Oh I'm not looking for anything that big. I'm not much of an outdoor guy. Just looking for ~10yards of soil for a small medical garden. Buying by the pallet in bags that's like ~$1500. By the yard from local farming places they charge around $30-40 dollars per yard. That price is fine with me, just having trouble finding a legit soil for my purposes.

yeah, just having trouble finding one close to me. Not really worth it for me to drive up north to bring back trucks full of dirt.

I mix in llama manure. Works good.
well i used to live around a bunch of horse ranches in the east bay. i will check around and see if they still pile it up or if they had to have it trucked out. if not its 100% free to take

Looking for the same. Looking for bulk soil in El Dorado County. Have tax ID as well. Did small run last year in Roots 707. Plan to go much bigger this year with full season and light depot. Looking for local supply 50-100 yards pre amended soil. Any suggestions?

Acapulco rock and soil is great, theyre in richmond. They have several different mixes including a good organic compost one. Ive gotten soil from them before,I had them deliver a cubic yard of the clod buster mix. Ill put a link to the their soil page

Also, the waste management plant on davis st in san leandro (maybe other sites as well) makes compost with the green bin organic waste from food scraps and lawn trimmings etc. Ive never tried it so dont know if it's raunchy but I just looked and its OMRI listed.
