Saccharopolyspora spinosa is the actual bacteria that Spinosad is derived from. The active ingredients in Spinosad are spinosyn A & D, which are derived from the fermentation of S. spinosa. Braconid and Trichogramma wasps can be harmed by this, but they are not responsible for a large amount of parasitism. Parasitoids are much more effective when prey populations are high. Generalist predators like lacewings and ladybugs are much more effective at eating their way through a minor infestation.Saccharopolyspora spinosa kills some wasps (which also kill bud worms). How long do you suppose these wasps live. I haven't really looked into it to much just kinda bought them b.c it couldn't hurt. They are wicked small and from my understanding a lot of the smaller insects or whatever don't live that long. I plan to treat the situation as if they are no longer in my garden and continue to spray spino. I gave them a couple weeks w.o spraying when I did release the wasps. I also put a lot of the egg sheets in surrounding trees rather then straight into the garden. How far into flower do you keep spraying the spino?

Good info man. Sounds like his wasps will be fine with it.
Do you recall what kind of wasps they were, I could look up their life span. In general though, I think they tend to wander away. Especially if there isn't food around for them. Which is good and bad news for you.

I would stop spraying ~2 weeks before harvest since there is about a 2 week residual. Those 1-day PHIs are for edible crops that can be washed off. There is no PHI for smokable product, unless you start looking at labels for tobacco (idea?). Just to be on the safe side.
