i'm in sonoma county and i'm on the edge of my couch. i have the ability to cover everything, i'm just too lazy to do it for the hour or two it may rain. i just started harvesting so anything that may get damaged will simply be cut down. it's supposed to get to me within the next hour, then be gone by noon. if i can get thru the next few hours i'm home free.
Im guessing its the breakage thats the big deal for now.
Im taking my buds off the nodes and off the stem for rack drying this year.
Rain in natural but so is mold.
Using a pin torch to kill any mold I find.
Gotta love a great harvest time in the triangle! A friend has started picking a couple of days ago, with another month or so to finish. At least no major storms coming at the moment. If the great weather holds, gonna be an awesome year !
I'm in the south bay and just had to move my plant because we got our first rain drops about fifteen minutes ago. Not much falling at all but i'd rather keep my plant dry.
it rolled thru here for about an hour. a light sprinkle. just enough to rinse off my leaves. it's stopped now and the sun is trying to break thru. 10 day forecast calls for sunshine.
You can make a "solar oven" around your plants to help heat em up a bit and multiply the intensity of light.... Use mylar or permaflect and clear plastic above them to stop the rain of course. Hard if you have a lot to protect though...
