“It’s an absurd situation,” the co-founder says. “The reason we are where we are today with legalization started with people who needed access to cannabis for medical purposes. That’s the origin of it. That’s why it exists in Canada. And the government has only shown disdain for it. And I think it’s disgusting that they don’t do more to make it accessible for people who need it on a medical basis because people are suffering and they can’t afford it.”
