AHHHH see I did not know IHG was a company. Though it just meant plants they bred in house. Gotcha.Just a little name/word confusion. "In-House Genetics" (IHG) is a breeder. IHG is sold at tons of different seed banks online.
I was sent an old pack of seeds it had a date on it and was I think 3 years old also the seeds didn't look viable I email them and offered to mail them back and pay the shipping if they would mail me a pack back and pay the shipping they said no you would have to pay the shipping both ways! They said they normally don't let people send seeds back and they were doing ma a favor I told them I wasn't pay for shipping both ways and that they weren't doing me a favor and they were being greedy. I talked about this in the nasc Nov 2022 thread. By the way none of the seeds germinated. I lot of people like nasc you most likely won't have the same experience good luck. This is the response I got to my question about the 2 dollar seeds.
"Hi there!
Thanks for reaching out! That's a great question. There's nothing wrong with any of those seeds. We're able to offer those seeds at a discount because we're either able to purchase those seeds from those breeders in bulk and get a discount (which means we're able to sell them for a discount), some of them are phenohunter seeds from breeders, and some of our breeders offer their seeds on our Dollar Treez menu simply because they want to offer an affordable seed option to help get their name out. I hope this helps answer your question! Thank you for supporting our business and have a great day!
Best,
NASC Team"
My guess after this is that you caught someone having a really bad day or maybe something in the wording of your email triggered them, dunno man but as you can see they were super nice to me.
With all the orders I have made with them thats hard to believe. One time they sent me a 5 pac instead of 10 I emailed a picture of the tube with 5 in it sent me out a 10 pac that day FREE!.I was sent an old pack of seeds it had a date on it and was I think 3 years old also the seeds didn't look viable I email them and offered to mail them back and pay the shipping if they would mail me a pack back and pay the shipping they said no you would have to pay the shipping both ways! I talked with NASC yesterday they dont sell their inhouse made seeds anymore. IHG is a breeder.AHHHH see I did not know IHG was a company. Though it just meant plants they bred in house. Gotcha.

That's cool I'm happy you had a good experience with them. With all the orders I have made with them thats hard to believe. One time they sent me a 5 pac instead of 10 I emailed a picture of the tube with 5 in it sent me out a 10 pac that day FREE!.
Look forward to seeing pics of your new baby!Ordered from them a couple a months ago. Got a little of this and that from the 2 & 5 dollar menu. Received my order in about a week. This only was my second time ordering seed. First time being MSNL (which surprisingly, got here faster). I just dropped a single bean into some Happy Frog last night. $2 Blimburn Mimosa Cake auto. I bought 2 and they sent 2 freebies. Perhaps, as a little bit of insurance on their part? Anyway, I’ve had great results germinating this way with the previous batch of seeds (4/4 on 4 different strains) which are nearing harvest.
My experience will be insignificant in the grand scheme, but I’ll be a happy camper if that single bean pops and grows into something decent. I’ll let you know soon enough!
I think I can explain that, they sell the seeds as a Novelty Item for collection purposes and once you admit to a crime, growing them in a still illegal state, they can not send you a replacement because it would link them to a crime. Just like if you told me you were gonna rob a bank and i said nothing and you did it, I would be an accessory. It sucks but that is the postion the governement has put them in with federal prohibition. The only gripe I have with NASC is there replacement seed policy. I’ve never had seeds replaced myself, but a friend of mine purchased a pack from In House and only 2/5 germinated. He lives in Florida, and when he reached out to NASC for replacement seeds they told him that due to cannabis still being illegal to cultivate in Florida they could not send replacements. To be fair they do have a disclaimer on their site, but it doesn’t make sense to me how they can accept payment and shop seeds to these states, but they can’t ship replacement seeds.
that actually does make some sense, but is germinating a seed that doesn’t pop actually illegal? I don’t actually know. I know growing an actual plant is illegal in many states, but if the seed doesn’t pop, was the law broken? Either way they have a disclaimer so no one can plead ignorance. Just sucks for the people who drop a bunch of money only to get met with germination issues.I think I can explain that, they sell the seeds as a Novelty Item for collection purposes and once you admit to a crime, growing them in a still illegal state, they can not send you a replacement because it would link them to a crime. What you mean is that North American "made" their own strains from InHouse and sold as ??Good to know!
Yea the freebies are often just white label seeds, but some of those $2 and $5 are often from Humboldt Seed Co. I remember seeing some In House beans in their $5 menu awhile back. Wish I had taken advantage of that.I have and am presently growing the 2 dollar seeds from NASC. Shipping has taken 4 days every time I bought from them.
Germination rate was good, around 80%.
The weed has been excellent, best I've grown, decent yields.
I particularly liked the Dosidos x fortune cookies, Nutter butter x pistachio and the Jungle cake x wedding tree.
Just sprouted a Gazurple, Og kush x vanilla frosting and 2 mystery strains [ dropped the seedling tray and name tags and starter plugs became separated].
I typically don't pay for the insurance and go with the cheapest shipping method, so far no problems on 5 different orders.
The freebies have been ok, to date I have received a GSC, Purple punch, Gelato, Strawberry banana, Star dawg and Blue cheese.
I dropped the GSC seed down the sink, which i mentioned to them in an email and they sent me an extra seed on my next order!
A glamour shot of the Nutter butter x pistachio at 6 weeks of flower.

I grew out a 5 dollar Slusherz from them, again excellent pot, really good yielder.Yea the freebies are often just white label seeds, but some of those $2 and $5 are often from Humboldt Seed Co. I remember seeing some In House beans in their $5 menu awhile back. Wish I had taken advantage of that.
That looks pretty damn bud good if you ask me. I got their Trainwreck x Pistachio along with a bunch of others last order. Can’t wait to try it! Basically, I bought 2 of everything they were offering at the time save 1 or two strains. I figure even if I get over 50% germ and some decent smoke I’ll still come out ahead of the game. I didn’t bother with insurance either. Yeah, it’s a gamble but one I was willing to take. I’m a little obsessed at the moment but enjoying the ride. I’d love to keep this thread going and see and hear everyone’s experiences with the budget seeds.I have and am presently growing the 2 dollar seeds from NASC. I also Opted out of the Insurance for a couple reasons, One, nothing illegal is being shipped and they ship with a persons name on the package not the company name. Two that was an extra 8 bucks hell no.That looks pretty damn bud good if you ask me. I got their Trainwreck x Pistachio along with a bunch of others last order. Can’t wait to try it!
