I hold no ill-will towards Israel except their insane foreign policy and treatment of the Palestenian people, Iv know Israeli people personally, they were cool but alot of their food wasn't very nice.

Guess I'm anti-semetic so...

I dont see why we continue to borrow money from china to fund the Israeli war machine. If we cut subsidies to all other countries then we should cut subsidies to Israel.

But understand, that means the leash comes off. The middle east blows up and the pieces fall where they may. I doubt Israel would be the only casualty.

Interesting, I would've put money on you being a total party line Republican, I retract my assumptions and apologise for bringing up Israel, it's just relevant to the topic of foreign aid and my presumption of you being a NeoCon made it more relevant.

I stated it that way because I had the impression that you weren't an anti-Semite but an anti-Zionist. I distinguish between the two. cn

I just really hope the regime their can hold up at least till I could have the chance to travel there during one of the festivals. Their propaganda is some of the most creative stuff i've seen. The idea of taking a plane from China to NK, is the closest thing to time traveling I think ill ever have. Cold war time capsule vacation would be awesome. You just couldnt speak freely from the moment you meet with the people who are making the arrangement's till a week after your home lol.

but its not the same, you dont get 24 hour North Korean representatives that try to keep you on a invisible leash. I want the active military state experience too not just the cool old cars and a deteriorating Castro. lol

Not quite. North Korea is one of the most isolated places on earth. I would actually say they are the most isolated country in the world in regard to its borders and influences. Cuba isnt open to the US but to the rest of the world its pretty much easy livin being able to catch a direct flight to Cuba instead of Americans having to go to Mexico etc to fly in. I want to see a cold war relic that has truly been undisturbed by choice to the outside world. People actually have cars in Havana. North Korea has 6 lane highways that can go a few days with seeing no more then 10 automobiles. The mindset over there is part of the vacation as well. Just seeing people in the personality cult that is NK is something to be experienced. They still sing lullabies to their children about killing Americans. Going to a place history has let straggle behind where the Cold War is still a 24/7 experience is something that appeals to me. No other place in this time in history can compete with the mystery and living history of NK. and the hit and miss electrical grid over there.
