In all seriousness about the threat of NK, all they have to do to take out the United States (well, most of it, functionally) is get a nuke into the upper atmosphere and set it off. Most of the power grid would be wiped out.
The lower yield of their bomb suggests they might realize this is their most effective strategy as well.
So really it's a matter of them getting a sub in position. Easier said than done, but they don't really need accuracy or anything.
