I have grown indoors many times however. Only a few times outdoors. I started.my outdoor plant end of June hoping to keep it small. It is in a 1.5 gallon pot and root bound and getting ready to flower. Is it to late to repot the plant into five gallon pot? If not what soil is recommended? Thanks

I have a second question that do you think it's getting too late, for us in the North, to be just starting flower. Or needing to force flower. I am yet to flower having to force flower at the moment. It looks like my plant wants more veg time but I believe it'll take as much as I'll give it. I need more flower time. I'm actually in Canada, Atlantic Canada... attach photo is probably week old. As we've been raining, and I've also started to tempt the plant trying to drive it to flower.

My best guess is that it will start stretching very soon, I'm in north central Cali, and outdoor plants start flowering in about 2 weeks. Look for the nodes to start being alternate instead of oppossed, that's a sign of sexual maturity, they'll start flowering soon after that.

I am on the north shore in ma and plan to up pot in another week or two.
IMO its never too late to repot, as long as you dont beat it up in the process. Only thing the plant notices is the extra room and nutrients

Do you recommend I put it into flower now

How long will you have to frost? I may see it in first of October, would you recommend but I force flower due to the early Frost. Potential would like to maximize flower. So it only be starting about 2 weeks ahead and that would be great for my Harvest Time

Luckily frost in October is pretty rare, and a hard freeze is unheard of in my area. Plants can handle a frost, even snow, but anything below about 26-28 will start doing serious damage. You know your climate better than I do, but a forced flower migh be a good idea.

I appreciate it, since you had shot me a message it's nice out I'll give you a picture. Went through outdoor Grove do you lollipop. If so my pictures below how much would you take off. At 3rd seems a little aggressive my branches are growing really well. I understand the concept, just fearful of taking too much off. Long time since I've done it don't want to stop flower

I don't lollipop, I do LST, but that occurs much earlier in growth. The plants look good, and you've got alternating nodes, so it's ready for flowering any time now.

One and a half gallon pot for outdoors? Damn I would never go smaller than 7-10 gallons. Still waiting for flowering here in norcal, so odd there is still no signs of it

Repot that thing into a 10 or 15 gallon pot, itll finish in time dont worry about that. Ive planted seedling as late as 20th of July in Maine and from germ to harvest it finished at the end of October. It was in a pot so could bring it in the garage when it rained or frost/freeze cause Maine tends to have all season weather in the same day in the fall. Photo period plants will flower automatically at the right time outdoors and will finish even if started later.

Edit: If started late within reason. August 1st on an 8 weeks strain is the latest I would plant outdoors in Maine. Sativas and longer flowering strains longer than 8-9 weeks may have trouble finishing up here in time as well.

I do. They don't seem to care one bit. In fact, mine usually like it.
