hi all, im growing nirvana auto flowering norther lights, i have 2 fems 1 is quite a bit more advanced than the other but im not fussy about that. the question i have is does this look nearly ready or should i wait? i have ordered a x45 microscope from ebay but i didnt realise it is coming from hong kong and didnt want to miss the 2 day period where the bud is at its 'best'.
by the way this is a 300w cfl grow in a small cupboard and started out just as an experiment to see how easy/hard it is to grow. and to be honest its been alot simpler than i thought but the proof will be in the final pudding!!

If you have a old cd player,play station or alike something with a lens, pop it out and stick it to your camera ensuring that the lens is not covered. Pop the camera/lens right up to the buds take a few pics if your unsure and upload them here, you/we will then have some knowledge as too the trich status. As you said you don't want too miss the period where the bud is at its highest of quality. So yes i highly advise you to get your diy gloves out ;)

thanks for the reply! i wasnt expecting it so quick! Scotz i have just tried to take the lense out of my cd player but the other half wasnt having it lol incase i couldnt put it back together again! im really hoping my scope comes soon i oredered it on the 27th dec so it should be here 1 day soon!

bkbbudz, i would recomend growing these autos to anyone! this is my 1st grow, i havent had any problems with these plants apart from a bit of strecting but that was my own fault as i was vegging a skunk 11 at the same time but it was alot bigger than the autos and i struggled to keep them close to the light. other than that they have been GREAT!! i have seen that chart but was hoping one of you experienced growers might be able to tell me just b the close ups. i really need to get my scope if its not here midweek im gonna have to try n buy 1 elsewhere

Aww man, that's why you don't tell the other half.. I would have had the same problem had i done so lol, ask your friends if they have a old portable cd player or something, its worth asking. trust meh (:

EDIT: also do you have some older pics of her? would love to see her before all that bud etc. I have a big interest in autos.

another question for you ppl aswell. i am using all bio bizz organic nutrients, im giving 4ml of grow 5ml bloom and 7ml top max, im also using biobizz all mix soil. the only thing im using that isnt organic is canna rhizzotonic im adding about 4ml of this. all of this is per litre of water that i leave to stand for 24hours before feed. i give the plants this every time i water. some ppl have said that its a high dose but i have never seen any sighns of nute burn so i just carried on upping the dose and the plants love it! now the question i want answering if possible is how long should i flush for? as the plant is on quite a high dose of food does this mean i have to flush longer or around 7-10 days still?

Its a shame you cut off all the fan leaves you could have had a much larger yield.

i took the fan leaves after some advice from a friend, he said that to many fan leaves take up to many nutrients and the buds dont fatten up as well as they can. looking at the size of the budds i still reckon from what i have seen friends do before and after i will still get 18-25g of good budd off the 1 and i reckon a bit more off the 2nd plant. so i can really complain for my 1st grow

my scope came today and looking at the trichs im unsure whether they are still clear or if they have gone milky its quite hard to tell because there are so many crystals :D lol can anyone offer any advice on what to look for or should i just wait till i start noticing amber?

I grow NL exclusively, but not the autos. I wouldn't bother looking for amber trichs at all. Take samples from a couple places on each plant, and look them over and estimate an average % cloudy. When that's over 75% go ahead and harvest. By the way, how many weeks from when you first saw green leaves until now?

i germinated them on halloween so all november december and just over a week into jan around the 10 week mark since they were 1st put into soil. im really pleased with the way that they have turned out so far and im thinking about gettin some reg NL seeds next time, whos starin are you growing and whats the results like?

i meant to ask what kind of high you get when u chop it that way is it a heady or couchlock? i was hoping to catch it in the middle of the 2 tbh
