I used nutes very sparingly. I have only fed her twice in vegging and not even once during flowering. I also use Grandmas Molasses. I have fed her three times with that. 1tbsp per gallon.

For all of the negative I have heard about MG, I am not sure what the hype is. I am sure there are purer forms of growth media that allow more tweaking with nutrients etc. For my first grow it has served me well. My girl doesnt lie..lol.

I will use something else next grow and it will be most likely the jungle stuff that CD is using.

couple things man where u skeet skeet and make it rain on thos hoes or u have alot of money and throw it around like its rainin on em or when u mist your plants and make it rain on em LOL
 
Hey farmer, make it rain is when you water your plan and get a lot of runoff, that's call making it rain. The technique is used to get large plants which means larger buds. You water your plant 2 times the size of the pot it's in. When the plant needs watering again (2-3 days later), you feed the plant ( no flushing when you feed her). Then start the process over again.

Yes it does...CHIEF turned me onto it. I just "made it rain" again this morning on my girl. Next water she gets some bloom nutes.

Ill try and take a few more pictures today. She looks like she can give me a decent yield for all of my attention..lol.

i didnt realize that is what making it rain is.. lol... thats sorta how i did mine... i had suffecient drainage, so when i fed/watered, i would use a gallon worth of solution... a baby wipe container (the one i used), was only about a third of a gallon... so... yeah... no plain waterings till i flushed, besides that, i had a lil mixture of nutes in all waterings...
 
hey arch & others, just read through riddleme's article on making it rain (and on a bunch of other stuff). very good info, but there's a lot in there, and i wanted to make sure i got it right... is the idea that you alternate flushing (LOTS of water, like 3 times the size of your pot) with feeding? and a related question, it seems that riddleme uses low-ph water during flushing. is there a specific benefit of this, or is it basically that the ph level doesn't matter during flushing, because the purpose is to just get the plant to wick extra mositure out, preparing for the next feed? (and of course ph level matters during feeding). can someone set me straight? thanks!
 
i mix up a gallon of FF nutes for whatever week im on and the 2 girls get that over a week in 4 waterings, 2 days they get plain rain water and on wednesday they get the molasses mix. i water everyday and they love it.
 
i guess it would really depend on your growing medium... as far as how often you can water... you only do molasses one day outta the week? why is that?

lol thanks that was the answer I was looking for I started reading that noob page but it is a lot of information on there that ill read soon...

I know this question wasn't for me but I just wanted to see what type of info I could get about my medium and nutes....im using ff ocean forest and flora nova grow & bloom molasses and liquid kool bloom?
 
Just want to say thanks to everyone who has been posting on this thread! I read the entire thing and have learned so much, probably mored than i have learned from the countless grow guides i have read. This has been especially helpful because I have some Nirvana Northern Lights seeds that I am going to try for my first grow. I think i am going to make my grow room similar to yours arch, maybe just a little taller. Your grow seems to be going great Arch! I'm sub'd and i cant wait to see your girl finish maturing into a beast of a lady!
