Thx homer.i am happy with the topping results myself..if she keeps growing this way, I will top once more next week. I had plenty of instructors on topping here on rollitup..haha. The containers are indeed for humidity. The winters can be a bit dry so I am using the water in containers to help keep humidity up. Ghetto is good...they cost me all of nothing.

Nice grow Arch like tha cab man i'm subbed using fiming and lsting for the first time. Tht might also be a topping technique you want to read up on possible 4 to 8 tops per fimed node. Excited to see wht you come out with and +rep on the setup my friend.

My girlfriend has dubbed my 2 clones "Laverne" and "Shirley"...I just germed 2 seeds but I'll probably wait till they show their sex to name them. Just keep referring to them as girls though...all about the power of positive thinking!
Lookin good arch! I just recently set up my first CFL grow ever, and yeah, 2 days after I set up my first indoor grow area ever, I set up another one for a veg area. I've just been taking lots of pics and am biding my time till I post. Haha, so I threw my clones into flowering, and I have my seedlings in the veg box, and started all this on Dec. 1st! Gotta kill the time somehow until spring for outdoor season!! Keep your thumbs green dude!

Thanks folks...I did a lot of reading and did a decent job putting something together. The crazy thing is that I havent ever smoked my own grow and I am already hooked. I may end up keeping this cabinet for vegging and make another for flower and start a lil perpetual action. Time will tell.
I appreciate the comments and as I said before any feed back is cool by me. If it looks like I am fucking up the program dont hesitate to shout it.
I liked watching the Laverne and Shirley show when I was a kid..thats so awesome Meta that your girls have those names..haha.
Man I am already into week four and this Thursday will start week five. For my cabinet space, "wifes name" is getting bigger quick and I may put her into flower on Thursday not worrying about topping her again. She has a lot og good flower spots already. BUTTTT...I want to see how much of a yield I can get out of her, so I may just stay patient and utilize LST to keep her from reaching to high. She is really low,bushy as hell and her node spacing is close. Ill try and get the camera going today and see if I can get some close ups to see what you all think.
If I am not mistaken i can count on two to three times the size of plant from when i start flowering,,sound right?

2-3 times the size once you start flowering, that sounds about right. As for never smoking your own grow...I'm smoking my outdoor from this last grow and I can tell you...well...lets just put it this way... My prediction is that you are going to turn that cabinet into a veg area and get another one going! I can tell, you have the bug like me. I'm surprised you've gone 5 weeks with only one grow area. I know alot of the kids on here have their stealth grows going on, so they can only get one area going or are limited on space. But I have an 8'x8'x7' area i can work with if I want to, and already have two light-tight grow areas set up in there. Unfortunately the clones I got from the club are super stretchy, they had the lights like 3 feet away from the plants! Thats why as soon as I got them I had to set up a new area so I could germ and veg some seeds. I need compact growth! Looks great so far dude, and keep up the good work. We're all looking forward to some pics of "wifey" so get on it! Haha...keep your thumbs green!

Wow....I am retarded. I planted her on the 18th as a little seed with a tail. I just counted the days on a calendar. Its only been 21 days since she hit soil. Um unless I am really fucked up. Thats only three weeks today, beginning week four. I was off a whole week. <<<<<<Puts down the vape and walks away shaking his head.

Ok..
Now that my head has been completely removed from my ass..lol, I will begin using what day I am on instead of what week. Seems that the whole calendar thing throws me a bit...hahahahaha.
I added (2) 23w 2700k cfls to the mix, Props to Concord Dawn, so we shall see how she does with a little more color to look at.
I took some over all pictures to let you see how she is progressing. I did notice a little curling on a few of the bigger leaves but I dont think it is something to worry about. What do you all think? I watered her today after checking the soil with a moisture meter. It was time, so I watered till I saw run off. She got 1/4 strength nutes and a little molasses.
I put a few wire ties on a couple of the lower branches to help spread her out a bit. Also am doing a little bending each day to do the same. She is so short and bushy that some of her branches and inner leaves dont get so much light. I also lowered the outer ring of lights to help them get a little more direct side light. The picture of the wire tie is a little tricky to see off the end of my finger because its dark green.
Also there are a few more cabinet pictures. I thought you might want to see my cord and light height management system. Those are small hitch pins used to clamp the cords in place at whatever height I choose. It was cheap and it works really well.
Oh..she smells so goood. Not weed good but just plant good..like pine. Wonder what she will smell like when she is flowering?
To date she is about 6 inches tall and as much around...what a tubby thing she is. Im hoping she will stretch out some to make it easier to LST later.

I put this together which would reduce your cords to one. add some Y adapters and you have a light.

yeah,,I thought about going that route but I wanted the versatility of being able to manage each light individually. I will eventually have 2-3 plants going and will need it imho. Its a great idea so please dont get me wrong...I am still tial and error here. Time will tell.

Looking really good Arch. Are you a bit of a PC builder by the way? (the whole cable management thing. lol)
I read that CFL's do better placed sideways. None the less, you're doing awesome just the way you have it set-up.

LOL..thanks CD. I just got my water ph test kit in today. Even though I have been testing the soil, I wanted to make sure the water going in was good as well. I tested the water that I used this morning with nutes in it....it was MONEY! Im happy that even the water I been using is ph steady. No matter though..I will still test each batch. I included in this post a new pic. Had to change the lights up once more..temps were sitting at 85 degrees and with a lower humidity, I didnt think that was best for my girl. I dropped two lights, running (6) total (2) 23w 2700k lights and (4) 23w 6500k lights. That should bring the average temp down about 4 degrees.
This is what my lights look like currently...always tweaking..haha.
