This is my first autoflower grow so i decided to make a journal for myself to keep track, but for others to follow if they would like.

Im only doing one plant for now, closet grow.

Contents of Grow:

  • 1 Northern Lights Autoflower Feminized (Royal Queen Seeds purchased from the Vault
  • 5 Gallon pot (not really sure it might be more, but its plenty for 1 auto)
  • Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil
  • Fox Farm Grow Big liquid fertilizer 6-4-4 (will purchase Tiger Bloom soon)
  • Tap water pH'd
  • 5 42w and 2 32w
I think thats all. So i have the NL seed germinating using damp power towel method, has a 100% success rate for me so no need to change style.

Will be taking pictures within the hour of my setup and will be updating constantly.

Advice and/or constructive criticism welcomed, will only help me in long run.

I dont think ive forgotten anything.

Heres a picture of my setup, i just threw it up quick to post a picture, usually have the lights set up according to the plant and wires out of the way: Still looking for mylar, local home depot didnt have it. Id like to not order online maybe lowes has it. Any suggestions for where to find mylar?

Hey man, just wanted to say good luck with your auto.

I currently have 10 going under 1 600w hortilux bulb and well, they're doing fantastic. I don't have any pics posted yet because I can't figure out how to post with my iPhone. But they're going on 19-28inches in height and they are all nice green and healthy with thick stalks. It's about day 28 and they started showing their sex last week.

They are pretty durable plants man, there isn't much to worry about aside from over feeding and causing nute burn. If anything happens just flush with 3x clean ph'd water and it'll recover in a couple days.

Don't start feeding until about week 3, or if you feel the need to feed, just feed 1/3 the amount your supposed to in order to build up tolerance. just keep the germinates seedlings in a high humidity area for the first two weeks at least. Get one of those humidity domes, they work great to get growth going for a nice healthy plant.

As for Mylar, I use panda film but Mylar is more reflective. Buy the stuff online if you can't find it at your local grow shop or hardware store.

You might want to put it under a 600w hps light once it reaches 7-10inches. Mine went absolutely crazy as soon as I put them under the 600w. I'm talking like, 4-5 inches a day. But your cfls should be ok, just keep the lights on 24/0 first two weeks then switch to 21-4. More light=more growth.

Don't over water/over feed, and always ph your water/feed. Always water with clean water between feeds, and wait until soil is nearly bone dry. Roots need oxygen too. And keep your cfls close, I had my 2ft T5 light about an inch above the tops.

Just plant em and watch em grow. You'll be amazed how fast they grow, I was. Good grow room environment = good grow!

Cheers and happy growing!
