This set of 4 PeakSeedsBC Northern Skunk are planted in 1 gallon pots to start. Sunshine Advanced Mix #4 with Resilience Silica. It's a peat/coco blend with generous perlite for soilless growing. I added a drainage layer of rinsed Grow!T clay pebbles. Last time I tried germinating in this mix, the plants struggled dearly to break out of it. When I planted it, I filled the pot and the soil was moistened with 4ml Botanicare Calmag and 4ml AN B-52 in a gallon of RO water. I opened a pocket in the center about 1.5"x1.5" and put in ProMix Peat. Seeds break out of that easy. Planted the seeds without any soaks or paper towels. Like clockwork, here we are 4 days later under a T-5.
If you can't see, all 4 are emerging right now. I did rehydrate the surface only, that's all that dried out, with a diluted Microbial Tea(Ancient Forest Alaskan Humus, Golden Barrel Unsulfured Molasses, GH Floraliscious Plus, and AN B-52 bubbled 24-48 hrs). I PH all my stuff 5.7-6.0.
