The CMH side has been shut down to make cooler temps for the dry. Moved the G-Happy over under the FB 400-5 as the Northern Lights will go back into veg for the next test. Heres the actual power draw of a FB400-5
How has the NL400 held up? Have any leds burned out? I'm wondering if 5w diodes will be the new standard for led grow lights. I've seen those NL lights on ebay and was thinking about getting one.

I have not had any issues with either of the NL fixtures. All the diodes, fans etc are still going strong. The 400 unit only has this grow on it but the 300 has 2 under its belt. The veg units have been running 22 hours a day for over a year and during flower until this run. Big aluminum heat sinks are the key and plenty of fans to pull the heat out of the enclosure.
Well, I think at least from this small experiment that 5w diodes will produce a more dense bud. The 3w diode Apollo did more than admirably but was used on a different strain so I can't make a solid judgment. Still waiting for the all LED G13 to finish at this point but want to compare it to its CMH sister for density.
The Northern Lights specimen filled 2 trays (would have been quite more if I had not dropped the light on it). The CMH G13 filled 3 trays and I suspect the 400 LED will do the same and maybe more. It had smaller overall individual buds but many more of them and they were almost all the way down the plant. The CMH only produced at the very top with the lower being hash fluff.
Overall I am quite pleased and will never run an HID again.

Still one standing and its is taking its sweet time. Still hairy as a hippy...
