i have been on the hunt for the last couple months for a bicycle day t-shirt, the original drawing not some enhanced one. i saw a chem professor today walking down the halls and under his lab coat was a bicycle day shirt. i must find out who he is and register for his class. but aside from that does anybody know where i can find the shirt???
I can't help you, but figured I had to share this story:
I took a Philosophy class my freshman year of college and had this young, bespectacled, bearded fellow teaching the class. Very cool guy, taught the class in a modern, interesting way. Really went out there for his students to understand the material, rather than just "get through it." One week (the whole week; he usually wore the same clothes for a week - the first clue in spotting a fellow hippie) I noticed he was wearing a long-sleeve tied-ye shirt under his sweater. I immediately knew the pattern (it was somewhat original) so after class one day I made-up some fake question to ask him so I could probe him more about the shirt. "...So professor, is that a Dead winter tour shirt?" It was, I was right. We proceeded to talk about the Dead, and he told me that at his first show (he was 12 or 13 he guessed) he dropped some L and fell in love with their music. After I ended that class, I would still see him on campus and talk to him whenever I saw him outside having a cigarette.
Lesson learned: Watch the way professors dress, as it may help you decide what classes to take.
