Been growing outdoors for a little over 10 years successfully. I've had the usual issues most of us get, overwatering, budworms, whiteflies, thrips etc. and learned how to make them go away. I use Grow Big and Tiger Bloom in Ocean Forest and that's about it. It's not unusual to get yellowing to an extent on the lower leaves and it's never been a concern, as I still get good, healthy bud.
This year I tried using EB Stone 420, it's cheaper than Ocean Forest and has good reviews and word of mouth. No issues for the most part, and like Ocean Forest I can go easy on the nutes. They started flowering past week or so (Nor Cal) so yay. My concerns have to so with my Banana Garlic and OG Kush. The Garlic is growing in a way I've never seen before, kind of a super stretch and some lower leaf yellowing, any clues why it looks like this?
My OG Kush has always been dark green and has plenty of leaves and the buds are developing well, but some weird yellowing on some lower leaves. I did have spiral, twisty leaf growth and like half a leaf yellow and the other half ok, the twisties have pretty much gone away. Here's a photo from a few months ago showing that.
Past few weeks I have fed maybe twice a week, half dose of Tiger Bloom and quarter dose of Grow big. Typically upper 90's here for high temps. I water from the tap maybe every other day until slight runoff, typically I detect the first signs of droop around that time. First pic is the OG Kush showing the yellowing. I'd think this is normal but the way they are yellowing looks different. Middle pic is the Garlic Banana, you can see what I'm talking about with the way it's growing. I'm used to stretch but not like this, and it is behind the others developing buds by a few weeks, plus the lower yellowing. 3rd pic if the OG Kush again with the yellowing leaves.
?
I've not bought clones from this breeder before (Clone Guy) because Dark Heart was always my go to. These were smaller and took longer to get going than Dark Heart (RIP) and I've always used Ocean Forest in the past, wonder if I made a mistake using 420. In the end, the question is is this yellowing normal or show an obvious deficiency?
