Not sure of what’s going on? First time in fabric pots! Pics inside

Yo guys,

hope ur all good?

so it’s now 4 weeks since sprouted from seed and this is how they are looking at the minute. As you can see they are pretty sad which is getting to me!

So I started them off in 0.5L plastic, then transplanted after 2 weeks into 4L plastic (10th), they were pretty root bound after another two weeks in there which kind of surprised me, didn’t think they would be root bound just under two weeks in the 4L

I fimmed on the 18th and then transplanted into their final fabric 16L pots on the 21st

So my question is, how much should I be watering them at this stage in coco, as this is my first time in fabric pots.

I gave them a litre each when transplanted (21st) just to settle them in, I knew there wouldn’t be any run off but didn’t want to overdo it at that stage.

Today Igave them 2L each and still no sign of any run off, the coco was bone dry on top which I didn’t expect, the droop in my opinion is coming from underwatering and transplant shock but not sure

Environment is ok,
lights on temps 23-25°
lights off temps 18-20°
RH 55-65%
PH - 5.85
EC - 1.306

Soul destroying when it isn’t going right…

Any advice would be really appreciated!
Thanks!

Did you intentionally snip your new upper/inner growth or is there a bunnie in your room?

And in coco, I think you want to water to saturate each time.
take it I fucked the fim up then? First time I’ve ever done it! I cut 80% of the new growth like this?

his new growth looks like it would be the same as mine?

Have I fucked the FIM up then? I did exactly what this guy did on the 420 guide on YouTube and this is how my they have grown out from that?

Not sure about coco, but soil can take about 1/4 the container volume of water between totally dry and totally saturated. In coco, it probably couldn't hurt to give at least that much (4 liters) or even more to make sure it's fully saturated.

I don't know if you need to water them every day until they are fully rooted out in the new pots, but you shouldn't let it get totally dry either.

And yeah, looks like you might have missed the FIM...can still see the new growth tip down in there...

Fim isn’t something i do but that looks like too big a miss imo
I’ve not a clue how I’ve managed that? I literally followed that 420 guide step by step, the new growth tip is what I cut off and that’s how it’s grown back out, is it because I’ve not took as much off?

Thanks man! I think I know where I’ve gone wrong… I’ve snipped the fans when they were tiny with the new growth, what a fucking idiot!

If you're going to FIM, really read up and look at multiple examples of how to do it. Its a fussy thing to do just right and it needs to be just right to have it work. I did it on 3 plants once and I think one of those came out well. Way easier to top and re-top as needed.
Cheers bro, watched countless videos and examples but what you said there with the fan leaves half cut in previous comment, when they were really small, ive cut them with the new growth at the top and that’s how they’ve grown out. If I wouldn’t of cut them fans and took more off the top which I was supposed to, they might of turned out ok?

Hopefully won’t set the plant back too long!

I might just leave the training on this one haha

So just checking back in, they have made slight improvement since Monday, they look happier but the new top growth has really slowed down due to the botched FIM job!

Is this normal? Pics attached just to compare with the originals I put in, they are bushy as hell though.

I watered till they had 20% run off yesterday, so going to leave it till tomorrow to water to run off again, why I only potted up on the 21st.

Something that concerned me yesterday when I checked the run off, the EC levels were really low ranging from 0.51-0.64 the EC in was 1.2! Is this normal? I’m new to checking EC run off, I’ve always winged it previously with no issues by just looking at the plant. I know EC out is really low meaning they would be hungry but it doesn’t look like that looking at them?

Any help would be appreciated,
Peace guys
