Not sure what I’m doing wrong

I have no ideas what is wrong with my plant. 2 weeks ago the ppm was in the 800s ph 5.8 and I thought I was getting nutrient burn so I lowered ppm down to 500. The leaves are browning at the tip and are not a healthy looking color. I’m using cutting edge nutrients. Ppm is 510 res temp 67 and ph is at 5.8. Any help is appreciated.

How do the roots look? Are you using the whole line of cutting edge or just the base nutrients? Also what is your water source tap or RO?
What is your temps?
What is your RH?
What is your light source?
How often are you doing res changes?

I’m sure I’m forgetting something here but these are most of the questions you will get before you get many answers

sorry For all the questions but with this added info the experienced folks will be able to determine what the cause may be.

Roots look ok they are a little stained from the nutrients no slime or anything. Yes using the whole line including cal mag and following there feeding chart at 50%. Using filtered tap water which is around 15 ppm. Tent temp 68-70 humidity in the 50s. Using led light bar at 10K lux change the res every 3 weeks.

How should I approach bumping up the magnesium. I have a 16 gallon reservoir total. Should I start with 10 mg of cal mag and wait a couple days? Totally change the reservoir and bump up the cal mag to 100% of the cutting edge feed schedule?

You could use CalMag, but a magnesium issue is better addressed by Epsom salt.

No reason to add additional calcium unless you need calcium

You can also use Epsom as a foliar spray for quicker absorption

ok total hydro noob here if the issue is magnesium can’t you just use something like magnesium chloride or something? or is it too much chloride and not enough magnesium?
