So I hear a lot of benefits of using plastic or nylon net trellis I'm getting ready to enter the flowering stage I have 5 plants with different strains White Widow ,Blue Dream ,Grand Daddy Purp and OG Kush I was told that you don't want to use a trellis when you have different strains together is that true

The most variety grow I've ever grown was two different strains at once. I dont like growing more than one plant under one net. I'm in a tent tho. Might be different if I was growing in a larger space where I could walk around the sides.

Obviously, If you need to move your plants around, a net is not good.
Most use nets to hold the big thick monster colas. Yo-yo's are no fun.

.

I'm growing 4 strains under a trellis - Blue Dream, Lemon Haze, OG Kush and Slurracane. We've got 2 the same.

I top them until I have 24-36 colas working on keeping the height similar.

If you'd like to see pictures of the process click on my journal link below.

Grow yo-yo

Colas can get very heavy and can have a hard time standing straight up on their own due to weight. Trellis nets, and yo-yos are two options for helping them stay upright. Mine were held upright in the tent just from being packed in there. 6 plants in a 32 inch square grow tent, and probably not optimal, but came out great.
