I am wondering if anyone around the forum has tried running a hydro setup in what some would call a creek, or stream. I know im gonna get alot of it cant be done your crazy for thinking about it, but i wanna see if it can be done. I live in the mountains and have natural springs here and there, ive went as far as checking ph and ppm, but would like some input on what else would be problematic with trying to.do this. I plan on using a 6" net pot lid and hydroton, the lid will be retrofitted to float about 3" of the water and hung from strings so it stays in place. Also going to use some black plastic to cover roots once they get long enough, not touching the roots of course. Ph checked out at a constant 5.9 and a reading of 223 ppm, have checked this around ten times. If anyone has any suggestions on what else i may need to do all suggestions and comments welcome. Just wanting to see if this will work.
