Now How Am I supposed to feed my Plants?

How do I fertilize a guerilla grow without having to use dry fertilizers that animals can sniff out?

I have six plants planted with Fox Farms Marine Cuisine. This fertilizer is made out of dried fish and shrimp meal, all types of stinky dead stuff. I go out today and 3 of the 6 plants are completely dug up, dried up, and dead. I have one other plant inside that I know not to give marine cuisine when it's transplanted.

I have the fox farm soil trio liquid nutes that I can use for the remaining plants and the one that still needs to be brought out, but it's been raining so much that I haven't had to bring out water and nutrients, so in a way i need the dry fertilizers in the ground to be readily available when it rains, but I can't have the marine cuisine in the dirt because animals will dig up the plants for what they think is a dead animal.

Are there fertilizers that dont stink like dead animal?

There is bone meal in it but lots of other stuff. You got to let it cook for a month too outside and I'm not sure where Sub lives but he never mentioned animals going after it.

human hair and pee is good for keeping critters away, just DONT PEE on your plants, pee in a jug and make a barrier 10 feet in a circle. hair works better and most places dont care of you have whats left for someone else.

Yea I put chicken wire around the remainers but pee and irish spring hasnt been doin shit. i wanted to put hair out there but with dna and shit, i feel a little sketched out by that.

for my next plant should I just get chemical dry fertilizers that don't smell like dead stuff?

Osmocote granular slow release fertilizer. They have many formulas to choose from. I like the 14-14-14 or the 20-20-20

Chicken wire works fine for rabbits. But if you have Coons or Opossums around. Better beef it up a bit. And being they were dug up. Coon or Opossum. The key is just getting past the first couple of weeks. Critters notice the new things in their enviroment. After that your plant just kinda becomes part of its surroundings. And anything that is made from animal by-products can attract critters. Bone meal, blood meal even kelp meal smells like fish. I think chemical ferts are the only way to go if your growing guerilla.

Also Moth Ball's around your plants deters animals from eating them and you could get a spray that is for repelling animals at home depot/lowes to spray around your plants.

Nick is correct. And you can put them right up around your plants. There is nothing in them that will wash into your soil and harm the plants. Like anything, within reason. The crytals work best. They do not breakdown as fast. (I didnt mention this because of if we all started to use them, sooner or later they leaching could cause issue in the ground water.)

In one of my grow books , it says pee is a good source of nitrogen for the plants , and hair is good source of something also for the plants , just about anything natural has some sort of nutrients that might benefit the plants , i dont think its a bad idea to pee on the plant if its outdoors , since your pee is diluted mostly with water , and its a natural fertilizer you can use =D

I would imagine you would be perfectly fine using things like bat guano, seaweed and used coffeegrounds/eggshells and yeah some kind of chicken wire or fencing could help if you really need it

It makes sense but I usually use just 25% Black Gold Sungro 25% perlite and 50% native soil.... never had any problems, and used to use just compost tea.... my dilema now is new environment, climate, and altitude! But I'm ahead of the wind on this one and am looking for a short season with a quick harvest!

Alright Im gonna find some animal reppellent and keep the chicken wire fence. Next year im gonna use chemical ferts i guess, even though id hate not to do organics.
