Now that my crop is full of seeds...

... two weeks before chop (big n00b mistake) :dunce: I just verified this. I'm thinking I can still have good smoke even if it is full of seeds. Evidently I missed several balls on what turned out to be a hermie.

How about it? I think we will go to term with these ladies that are almost ripe w/seed. I was so pissed that I almost chopped them but then I thought wtf? I am not gonna use the room for flower anymore after they are done - it's gonna be my new veg chamber.

Hmm. I wonder if THAT is a potential problem? :wall:

Thoughts? Suggestions? Condemnations?

The smoke will not be as potent as it would of been, but the seeds will be great for the future grows.
Pollen does not stick around to long, you cna mist the walls with water and that will kill off any pollen.
Who hasn't smoke a bag full of seeds/bud in High School ?

Hi there i personaly think you should cut them because they are putting all there efforts into producing seed now not thc unless yr starting a seed bank:peace:

Well thanks for THAT information! I guess with that the three will come down along with my hopes and dreams. lol

It's a good thing I got a dozen under t5's veggin. I guess I'll take some clones and start budding.

I think I'll go puke now.

take it as a learning curve, i have had hermies show up in my grows and sometimes they dont pollinate all of them....if you have many females i would suggest chucking her or cutting her down for harvest.....OTHERWISE i have had some AWESOME smoke from a hermie

what kind of seeds are they? you could always try and sell them on seedbay or bidzbay. Why not if you barely make anything you still be gaining something. And you would still probably have a ton of seeds to last you a long long time.

Thanks for the support. It was my first grow and once I determined the gender I didn't give it another thought. DUH.

Is this common? I have heard that herms occur when the plant is stressed, but these were not stressed at all - they grew like crazy and I never messed up the 12/12 - perfect dark for 12 hours every time.

They are Jock Horror plants. I will check out seedbay and thanks for the tip! But won't these seeds tend to hermie? If I don't go that way I will scatter them around the county next spring I guess.

Well yeah! I dried one of the seedy buds and gave it a go before bed and oh boy!

I had been smoking Kali Mist all evening and didn't think I would even notice it - WRONG! And even chopped so early and quick dried on a ballast it tasted really good... like organic should. Makes me look forward to harvesting the little clones vegging in the tent and I can't wait.

Now I will have 5-6 zips of killer nug full of seeds and a dozen ladies vegging. Things could be worse.

if they are all seeded then i say that let them finish their seeds-youl always need good seed or you can sell those seed to somewhone else.

exactly, dont let the seeds go to watse, save them and dont throw them around yo county,lol

Yeah, youll have seeds and smoke. Might as well. Better than all of that for nothing.

I thought hermi pollinating itself and other plants resulted in a Higher chance of hermis?

In any case to the OP yes you will still have a very decent bud to smoke! Also you could just make hash out of your plant and you'd have a fuck load of hash to smoke.

Yea. And so I did. I made hash out of the trim and it's so strong it's only good to me as a goodnight puff. Different high altogether than the bud and it's almost too strong to use!

I never thought I would say such a thing...

iv got a fem cheiesl shes 2 weeks from harvest and i can see what looks like seed pods , so does this make her a hermie cause i have 3 other plants in my room which show no signs of seeds at all. so what im asking will my plant release any pollen seening iv must of stress her into a hermie ??(prop the pk)

dont assume you have made it hermie its most probably the seed genetics.
i have had a couple of hermies and it was definatelly not my fault it was purely down to the seeds.
and yes if you see any seed pods remove it from the grow room before they open and spread pollen.
if the pistils on the other plants turn out to be brown on the early stages of flowering then thats an indication of pollination caused by your hermie.

see now you have said that i have noticed that the hairs on some of the other plants are rippin faster than the top . shit i may have to go and make some important choices lol seenin i have only week and half 2 wekks left should i still consider the chop ?? or even cut all the bottom branches off leaving the top colas and non pollenated buds.?

and cheers for the help .
