Nubie, that needs help

Hi all.
New member, have to say great fourm.
I'm a first time grower, and have ran into issues.
I over fed my plants with tomato feed, and they started to turn brown at the tips. I read that the soil is now to full of feed, so I moved them into fresh new soil orginc soil, with just fresh water.
What are the chances of them surviving.

As far as I can make out, the only two things I did wrong to date is, over feeding and over watering, so hopefully they will over come that. I have only five plants, so hopeing three will make it

Are you growing outdoors? I give overgrown mothers to a friend with cancer. He has no idea what he's doing and ends up with good buds anyway. He just puts the 5 gal bucket in the sun and lets them rip. Overwatering and overfeeding are the most common newb mistakes.

Yes I am growing out doors. These plants are 43 liter tubs, in a sheltered spot from the wind. I live right on the Atlantic coast line.

I grow indoors. I am forced to keep my plants to less than 36". The height they can attain outdoors is very much strain dependent. The sky is the limit!

I have found that you lose the huge main bud when you top the plant. Side branches never seem to do as well. I think I get better yields when I don't top them. If you have no height restrictions I wouldn't do it.

Thank you for that tip, much appreciated. If thats the case, I won't be topping them, since mine are outdoors

I'm kinda just getting back into growing again but from what I've researched on wind is a good thing as long as the beaches don't break it makes your plants stronger... I left mine on the porch and had a train storm to blow in and the wind from it rocked then hard but the next day after putting them in the sun the perked right back up and look good now!!! I could be wrong but I think your ok they should bouncer back...

I'm more worried about wind burn than anything else, especially with the salt content in the wind and rain.

The journey of growing is a beautiful one, just keep reminding yourself that each and every set back is a learning curve. If you dont take note of it for next time, youre an idiot, however if you learn from it well then your next grow will be that much better. The key is to look at your plant and really check it out to watch for pests, ph issues, temperature issues and humidity issues

What is the signs of ph issiues.
I'm really enjoying the growing aspects, even with the worrying little set backs. It's all a learning curve

Well PH can be too high or too low, but common issues are low ph which results in the common lock out issues of calcium, magnesium and others. Check out grow weed easy.com its very informative!

Try and keep your PH between 6 and 7 and you'll be fine as long as you don't get and stay below 5 or above 7 fort long periods of time you'll do good by what I've discovered...
