speed drying. want to see what u can do with a really poor yielder. good job btw!my guess is right around there...i will be stoked if over 10, will know in three days, they are in temp control 80 degrees 35% RH.
i have a bin about that size too, but i use my juicer scraps, which are ultra fine, and incredibly nutrient rich....they get goobled up in a matter of days...i use my castings in and out, and from what i know about critters, they are usually harmless preditory mites and the like....i have never had a problem....but again, i think my secret is the juicer fodder, cause it all happens so fast, i harvest 5 gallons of castings every two months......i did a castings show quite a ways back in this thread, if you can find it, there is a lot of detailed info in it....nugshey dude, lovethe outdoors modular scrog, thats a killer backyard engineering project. im curious about the worm farm i have seen you post about, im particularly curious about your method for harvesting and how you use harvested castings. you inspirred me to setup my own farm and i harvested my first batch of castings today. it went ok... do you use your castings in the same super soil you use for indoor grows? i know the bennies are in there but i know 100% my harvested castings have critters i them. i ended up spending a whole afternoon and ended up with just enough castings to brew 1 batch of tea so i must be doing something wrong... my worn bin is a 35 gallong rubbermaid tub and when harvest began the tub was about 4 inches full of compost. i would love to make enough castings to not have to buy any from the hydro shop.
