I am building a grow room the size is 6'x7'10"x7'high. I'm going to light it with cfls for veg & flower. My question is how many plants can I grow in this room. I'm planning on mostly growing indica dom. maybe from time to time growing some sativa dom.I know this has prob been asked several times but I can't find my answer any where. I tried before I posted this. Thanks & happy growing.

HOw much light coverage will the CFL's give you?
Will you be topping, fimming, lollipopping? What size pots? Soil or hydro?

You really have no idea of what you are doing, do you? Take your time, learn, and save your money. You sound like you are way off target, but you are in the right place to gain knowledge. You can PM me if you want, it might be quicker than reading all the reply's, which don't mean shit half the time (lol). Peace out

Thanks yoda I will take that into consideration. ITE="Yodaweed, post: 10882663, member: 783417"]With using as many CFL's as you will need they will actually use more wattage than 1 big HID that could cover the area.[/QUOTE]

If you hang the cfl's vertically you can grow as many as you want. cfl's don't pack alotta lumens so don't expect huge plants though..

cfl's wont yield shit in a room that size. A 600 watt swtitchable mh/hps can yield around 1 to 1 and a half pounds if you do it right. them cfl's will be lucky to yield half a pound. by the way the you will be using about the same watts but the cfl's have much less usable light.

LOL 1000 watts of CFL over 45 sq. ft.??????? That's 70,000 lumens, HALF of what one 1k HPS puts out, and that room needs at least two 1k HPS!

You could use 4 foot T5 or T8 shop lights with an even balance of 6500 and 2700k(warm white and cool white) this is good from post germ, to late veg, hung on chains and 2 inches of the tips with fans on them, this will go great until bud and then hit them with 2x 600w hps, alternating 6 hours daily, to save costs and develop that 'dutch' lean , which is cool to see!
