Nute Burn?? Lockout?? Brown Spots spreading?? HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

I'm a 1st timer here and not really sure whats happening to my baby! Looks like Nuteburn maybe? Also i have been watering with Distilled Water and just heard that wasn't the best of choices!! Please Help!!! Desperately want to save my girl!!! Heres what she looks like now!!

It's not nute burn. Looks like Mg deficiency...... add expsom salts or cal/mag. Are you fertilizing? They appear too light green too.

So:

1. Water is not as important as quality of water. What's you pH and ppm?

2. Fertilize with a high quality hydroponic fertilizer (a complete fertilizer).


These should be your first 2 steps.........

I am not fertilizing..Just watering, and giving nutes when it's time to feed!!!
My water pH is usually right around 6.3..Just bought a soil tester at home depot to test my soil pH, thought this could be part of my problem!!
As far as ppm and EC im a complete n00b and pretty confused on the whole topic..What kind of fertilizer would you recommend?? And thanks for your time and advice, i appreciate it being a n00b and all!!! Just bought Jorge Cervantes book plan on reading that over the next week!!

FYI., 'fertilizing', 'feeding', 'giving nuts or nutes' (nutrients) pretty much means giving 'other than plain water'.
Your PH is a shade low in your water, not bad, but towards the lower end of the range where you want it. (6.2-6.9 is about the max range). I wouldn't worry about that too much right now, unless your soil PH is low also.
Like SSHZ said, 1 tsp/gal of regular epsom salt should help with what looks like MAG deficiency.

Thanks bro!! I just foilar sprayed with epsom salt hope it helps!!! I am a little limited on space to grow and i wanted to put it into flower soon, but i dont want to do that until i can straighten out my current problem!! what do you think about putting it into flower??

Thanks man.. I guess it looks better than i thought considering this is my 1st time!!! lol But i know there are some problems i got to address!!! Thats why some good advice would be clutch right about now!!!!

Purple stems is a phosphorus (P of the NPK) deficiency.......so it appears right now you are deficient of P, N, and MG. Other problems will follow shortly. You'll need to find a complete fertilizer and start fertilizing pronto. Return the pH meter to Home Depot- it's inaccurate for your situation and a waste of money. There is a ton posted out there on what to do, what to buy and how to go about growing. You need to spend some time searching out a good spot for beginners and read up on things. 6.3 pH is perfect for plain or fertilized water going into your pots.

1. Did you add lime to your soil when you started- that would have helped with the Mg shortage.

2. Usually in the 2nd or 3rd week of growing you'll need to start fertilizing.

3. You'll need a good hydroponic pH/ppm meter to tell you your pH and fertilizer strength. This is the most important purchase you'll ever make!- buy a good one.

Go to www.hydrowholesale.com and request a catalog. You can learn a lot by reading that 172 page catalog. Then shop around for the best prices on the things you need.

No i didnt add lime to my soil when i started.. My next grow i might try dolomite lime ..And i have Advanced Nutrients Micro, Grow and Bloom but havent given it too much nutrients because i thought i was burning my plant or dealing with a possible lockout! So you think i should continue to feed this plant?? Oh And i will definitely look into a ph/ppm meter THANKS!!!

The plants need nutrients almost every watering to grow and reach their full potential. Much of this depends on the strain- some like more, some like less. A.N. can be quite strong- start 1/2 the recommended strength and slowly bring it up higher (ppm). When and if plant tips burn a little, you'll know you've maxed out ppm and cut it back a bit. Dolomitic or agricultural lime (same thing) is very helpful in providing Mg (which plants need a lot of) and raising the soil pH (fertilizer tends to lower pH) so it balances out in the end.

Screw the run off....... that only matters AFTER you have been fertilizing for a while. pH 6.3 going into pots is all that matters right now.,.,.,.,..

Brown spots are spreading and some leaves are just drying up and dieing on me... Don't really know what to do at this point!! Just foilar sprayed with Epsom Salt, hope that help a little!!!! Please Help Me!!!! Really need some good advice or some pointers. I want to put my girl into flower but am afraid to do that with my girl looking like this!!! This is what she looks like now!! Good ol nute burn , Mag deficiency and Molybdenum deficiency.Did you flush her already? if so you have to wait until your soil dries for best results. If you ph run off is lower than 6.5 you might wanna try to raise it.I use 7.0 bottled water which gets buffered down to 6.4-6.8

JUST TESTED MY RUNOFF..IT WAS APPROXIMATELY 7.0 ...I dont understand how i can be burning this plant..the last time i gave nutes was 8 days ago...and by that feeding i waited 10 days from the one b4 it..IM SUCH A N00B but eager to learn the ways of the JEDI!!!!

First off.. everyone just chill out.. calm down and breathe..

RS, The damage that was done is done and will not heal. The leaves that are yellow will continue to yellow and fall off. This is expected for the state your plants were in. Yellow leaves don't go green again.

So, check out the new growth.. What does that look like? It looks better to me. It needs to grow out of the damage. You're not burning your plants. Nute burn looks completely different. You'd have dark dark green leaves with all the tips burnt.

Don't panic FEED THEM and expect all those damaged leaves to come off at some point. If you don't feed them you can't expect them to grow.

Thanx for the advice man i appreciate it!!! New growth looks okay!!! Leaves are a little light!!! So you think my girl is just deficient???
