Well now I have the plant 6inches away from the big 130w Grow Lush light and the plant is looking a little better, I think I may continue with this plant just to 'hone my skills'... I'll try a bit of lst today. I'll hvae to go see if I can find any seeds from my friends later, I just want to have my grow box operating perfectly really..
youre on the right track then. Keep this plant alive. With all the trouble its been giving you just think how much more prepared youll actually be for the next time around! I think you can salvage this plant. Although your not gonna pull anywhere near an ounce off this plant most likely... assuming its a female youll get SOMETHING which is better than nothing. I remember my first few grows... Problem after problem (and i STILL get problems.. slow learner), male after male.... I realized I was never fully prepared to care for my plants. Ive done 4 grows.... only harvested once (13.5g dry weight lol.. 3 month grow smoked up in 3 days
).
If you want a stealth grow Id suggest using a rubbermaid plastic tote or something along those lines. I think their like 22 gal or something like that. Paint the inside flat white (same paint on your walls) for reflective coating and to prevent light leaks (imperative for a stealth grow). Cut and intake and exhaust hole in the tote and install computer fans, one inside one outside. You can put activated carbon filter (might have to make your own for a proper fit just to keep everything tidy) on the inside of the fan (so it sits between the fan and plastic, should be fin but some fans might not have the clearance, use your judgement) which will help with light leak slightly also for the fan ports... For the lighting rig you have a couple options. For me I just bought 4 light bulb sockets that can plug into an outlet (lowes, 42 cents each) and 4 5ft extension cords (2.50 each also at lowes). Cut 4 small holes in the lid (or however many lights you want to use) and just work in the light bulb socket so its nice and tight, leave the extension cords draped over the top. I use 93w of 6500k CFL lights. It does get warm in the box so you need to make sure you have good ventilation. If your worried about someone seeing your box with the wires coming out build your light fixture into the lid from the inside using a junction box (i think, dont quote me on this im by no means any electrician...) some wires, wire em up together and splice the loose wires to the end of an extension cord (you can buy them pre spliced for you soy ou dont have to ruin one you have).
Growing in one of these Ive seen GREAT results on here! the thing i like about it is it just looks like any normal tote you might stick your dirty clothes in or your sporting gear. None one thinks twice about it ESPECIALLY if you do a pro job in hiding everything with in it itself...
Best of luck to you friend!
Edit: You could start anywhere up to 30 seedlings in one of these probably. Theres a lot of room especially if you use something to boost the plants up (gets wider as it gets taller). This would ensure you at least get SOME females.. Flowering in this thing you could probably get away with 2 if you put another bottom on top and rework your light fixture into that, espcially if you train your plant. When im ready to flower (assuming i get atleast one lady, never been so lucky with the ladies... growing and IRL lol) I might scrog the inside of my tote for maximum light distribution to the flowers, we will see how that goes (or grows rather).
