Nute burn or light burn

This plant is 5 weeks old. It is grow in soil FFOF. I have used a half dose of duragrow veg 8 days ago and another yesterday. I have a 600watt MH light that is approx 26" from plant and temps in grow room are not peaking at 83-84f. What do you think? How should I remedy with minimal damage? Also, I sprayed neem oil which was diluted at 1/2 teaspoon to quart of RO water with one drop of dish soap but it was just before lights went off.

Looks like nute burn to me. But I'm just a noob. :peace:

I've read that you should always start at 1/4 strength to be cautious

Should I flush or wait it out? The plant looks good overall. I was thinking of backing the light off some and letting it dry out more and then just water without nutes for a couple weeks. What say ye?

No you risk more damage if you procrastinate flushing. Flushing is done to wash any saline substances out of the soil. As your medium dries, salinity will only increase.

I would flush her with about 3 gallons of water and restart the nutes at 1/4 strength. FFOF has enough organic nutes to keep your plant happy for a little while. It doesn't make any sense that you got nute burn by feeding at half strength, unless you simply mixed it wrong. Using neem oil at a strength less than recommended on the bottle can cause the bugs to build up a resistance to it, so use it full strength. I use 1 1/2tsp of Dyna-Grow Neem with 1/2 tsp of plain dish soap to a quart of water once a month and if I see mite damage I will hit em every 2 weeks. Just lay off it about a month before harvest if you don't want to taste it. You must have mixed your nutes wqrong. Other than that the only thing I can think of is that you could be using shitty nutes.

Ok, I will consider doing a 3 gal flush, but I am concerned about them getting a rush of nutes during flush and root rot. That is my only hesitancy.

Still contemplating on this. The plant overall looks good. I am thinking of just using distilled water to water it as needed and see if I can ride this thing out. If it goes south I will flush but flushing is not the greatest thing to do either. Everything has a cost.

i have a 5 week old plant still in veg ive repotted it and over watered it ,this has caused to much nutes and it now has nute burn,,it still has lovely green leaves ,,but it has affected all the areas where the flowers are going to be ,there all bright yellow and crispy on end ,does this mean the plant is knackered
