I don't see how people can say coco is full of salt, either now or in the past. It's just coco husk, right? How can this be full of salt? And exactly what kind of salt? One of the things about using these forums is bad info spreads like wildfire.


I believe it is harvested on ocean beaches and left to soak. So sea salt.

But all the products I see say “triple washed” or some such thing.

Sea salt. The coconuts are left soaking in pools of salt water to soften the husks and make them easier to remove.

Maybe do a little research of your own before you sound like that a-hole Trump screaming fake news all over the place. Cheap coco for growing needs to be flushed well before using to grow plants. spank.gif

ah, okay then, actual salt. people here use salt to refer to fertilizer nutrients, which is what I thought was meant by salt. I was thinking how can this stuff be full of nutrient salt? thus my confusion.
