Hey guys, so basically I'm using a liquid nutrient (dynagrow 7-9-5) for the vegging stage with some fox farm happy tree frog soil, I'll probably use some jacks classic bloom booster during flowering but anyways I was wondering if adding some bone, blood, or kelp meal would benefit my plants at all during either the veg stage or the budding stage, any help would be great, thanks guys.

So, bone meals, blood meals, kelp meals, etc. can all benefit.

During the veg stage it is important to be high in nitrogen as that is what promotes growth.

So, you'll want to look for higher nitrogen organic meals to help you there. Before you buy them though, I'd ask yourself if you want organics or if you feel you can do without. Cost is the reason for this. Organics are of course more expensive.

Once you've decided, then it's time to consider how you want to add these fertilizers. Do you want to feed this with your DynaGro as a water soluble? or do you want something you add the soil?

For water soluble fertilizers, you may look into soybean meals, amino acid blends, kelp powder, some blood meals, etc. if you want water soluble organic fertilizers. If you are okay with synthetic fertilizers, then you may want to consider what Dynagrow is lacking before choosing. Dynagrow has calcium and magnesium in it already, so adding more of that may not be necessary. But, it's lower on potassium, so, you might want to add a little potassium nitrate(salt peter). 1/4 tsp/gal will be fine and will be a fine addition to the dynagro you've chosen. You may also consider adding 1/8 tsp/gal calcium nitrate and magnesium nitrate as well.

For non soluble fertilizers that you add to the soil, you'll find kelp meals, feather meals, and many more.

I'd be happy to give you some suggestions on how much to add once you've chosen something to add. Organic fertilizers are all over the place, so it's tough to say "add x of this and x of that".

The blood meal and the kelp meal will probably serve you best. Some blood meals are water soluble, so it's something to consider.

So if i did buy the blood and kelp meal how much of each would I want to add to let say 1.5-2.0 cubic feet of happy frog soil? any suggestions on what I should buy when budding time comes? I'd guess bone meal for budding based on what I know but this is my very first grow

They will say on the box, how to apply them to soil. For the blood meals, it's 1/4 cup per cubic foot for new planting and then there's additions you can do after that. It's pretty straightforward how much to add.

While I'm waiting for the girls to become "toddlers", I am researching different nutes. Last year I used DynaDro Grow for veg. and DynaGrow Blossom for flower. Researching Adv. Nutes. specifically Bud Candy to add to my mix. I am also intrigued by their micro nutes. Any reviews, comments on Advanced Nutrients products would be greatly appreciated, good or bad. Second grow, outdoor, container, FFOF soil.

I heard most of advanced nutrients products are a scam, I've never used any of them myself but I've read a lot of negative things about them on this site.

If you do a tiny tiny amount of searching, you'll find an entire thread about AN and why it's shit.
