Nutes Hardwater

You are going to have problems with that water.

You will easily grow back your moneys worth, with an RO machine.
$100-200 on ebay.

Earl, what is your run-off ratio with that setup? I wanted to get one but I live in a apartment. (they monitor water usage) I had to settle for a pre-stage filter instead. (BIG BLUE)

Growing in an apartment is very risky business.

The RO machine shits out 2 gl,
for every one I get to keep,
so i use 90gl of meter to get 30gl of RO.

I just don't flush my toilet but once a day.
I conserve other places also.
Eat on paper plates to save water. etc.

I mean c'mon, an extra 60gl a week of meter?

How big is your rez?

Mine is only 20gl.
So I throw away 40gls a week,
and keep 20gl of RO.

The average family uses a ton more water, than I ever will growing.

Yeah it is kind of risky! But it's cool, I got a prescription.

About a month ago they did an inspection on the faucets, toilets. They replaced rings and seals. I asked the manager why they were doing this. Our building's water went from 19,000gal to 33,000gal per month. When I walk around the building you can see hydroton everywhere. Not big piles but there are definately a few more people growing.

My veg res is only 18 gal but my flowering res is 40 gal. X 3 = 174gal per week. About 700gal per month!

I'm still thinking of doing it but with him checking the meter and these idiots leaving hydroton everywhere, It might not be a good idea.

Thanks for the response!!!:peace::joint::peace:

Man, that cracks me up.

Talk about overgrow.

I think I would move away from that .

Can't you find a house to rent?

Nah, I pay $1600.00 for a 2br apt. (they let me have my dog) Rental on a house around here is around 2500.00 Most people don't want renters with dogs. It took 3mo for me just to find this apt! Tough living without room mates.

Mental.

Never seen a water meter. I can leave my taps running all day and night if I wanted.

Pluse it rains like every fucking day.
365 days a year.

No, I know a few people that grow out doors, but it is alway small yeald and low quility.

Most people that try and grow in green house / polly tunnels end up with mold before they ever harvest.

Humididty is pretty high all year round

It genrally dryer in the winter, we seem to get a couple of months where it rains only like every other day.

In the summer we might get a couple of days in a row, if it is a good year.
It kinda sucks really. We get nice weather, but you always know that it could start raining and probably will.

Still plenty of nice rain water to feed my plants. :)

I've got hardwater (~250-300ppm), but I'm having a nutrient dilemma. I don't know shit about plumbing, so i'm unsure about investing in a RO (Small boy). I was thinking of using IONIC, which makes a hardwater Gro and Bloom.

The only other hardwater nutes i can find are the cheap ones made by GH, but can I use GH Hard water micro with the TechnaFlora system?
