Are you playing the ph swing?

Playing the ph swing: Ph 6 is the optimal median for the roots nutrient uptake range (see GH ph chart). Placing the ph slightly acid, or alkaline from ph 6 gives an edge to the plant depending on photo period.

Ph rises in veg, and during the two week 12/12 stretch.

Ph drops starting early mid bloom to finish. This is a result of the type of nutrients the plant takes up.

Veg through 12/12 stretch set ph 5.5 (slightly orange to orange).

Post 12/12 stretch set ph 6.5 (slightly green to green).

Ph 6 (yellow) is the standard simple method.

So...using soil i can take the ph down to 5.5 during veg? Phosphurus can be locked out out the level right? Now im really confused

Hey DGF.

If you are not doing total organics with compost teas, and microhearding bennies in your soil? Try taking one plant of the same strain (better if you have clones), feed/water one of them at ph 6 during veg. If it does well then do 5.5.

Let us know what happens if you do.

don't drop to 5.5 in soil. Are you letting the mix sit for at least a day? And is this the pH of the runoff or when you mix it in with water?
No, I am not letting the mix sit. How long does it need to sit before i know that its stable? I have not checked my run off yet, will do my next watering
