Nutes

Was watering one gallon but I don’t seem to be able to get a runoff on both with just one gallon. So I was think 1 and a half gallon would be enough (tryna avoid nutrient lockout, correct me if I’m wrong please) I was wondering. The extra half gallon with nutes and whatever in it. Is that half gallon bad since I’m letting it sit there for 3-4 days till next feeding. Or can I still use.

Thanks giys

Pour however much water you need in a bucket and then mix you’re nutes in, test it, ph it and done. If you stick with one gallons and have some left over in one keep it in a dark cool place and you’d be good to use it still in 3-4days, did that my first grow without problems. Just easier to use a bucket tho lol

Okay cool so I don’t have to keep an airstone in it or anything. That’s what I was curious. But sounds good, imma start mixing 2 gallons and then save in my closet the left over

Nah, don’t see why u would need an air stone in it, it sits in bottles on shelves at the wharehouse and stores for awhile without air stones already lol you got pics of your plants?

Yes sir. I got you just took one before I left the house. Both were germinated and put in soil at the same time so they are same age. One is just super slow lmao. 2nd pic is the big one like 3-4 day before when I LST some more. Lmk what u think (Added a extra pic of my dog, she likes her time in the tent as well)

Nice! I’m new to this but ur doing a hydroponic system right? Ur roots look savage! Next time plat some seeds imma start them out in clear plastic cup instead of red to see the root formation.

Yes I’m running dwc, the one plant is in a 5gal and the 4 clones are in a 19gal tub. And yea I love seeing the roots! It’s easier and faster to correct any problems since you can just dump out your Rez and start over with a corrected batch in 5-10min vs waiting till next watering to try and fix a problem. It is less forgiving than soil though, you gotta correct problems quick and monitor your Rez everyday or death is soon to follow  Haha

oh yea if you do use clear solo cups next time to see the roots make sure u put a red one over the clear one to block out light. Roots don’t like light xD

Growing in coco, feeding until runoff is common. Every watering includes nutes.

Not sure about soil. Nutes.....watering freq, with or without nutes...etc. You might want to check out the Organics forum threads for the real scoop from the soil pros.

Feeding/watering in soil till runoff is common also. Every watering in soil should not include nutes unless you feed at low ppm and know your plant very well. Soil retains nutes unlike coco :bigjoint:
