Nutrient Burn or something else... expert needed.

Hello everyone,

I am working on my first grow in a aerogarden and I think I have caused a nutrient burn. From everything I have read it seems that the brown spots on the leaves and fact the some of the leaves are curling means that I have over fertilized my plants. These babies are about two and a half weeks old. They are Diesel Ryder.

I think that I am going to flush the rez out but I am not sure how to go about doing this. Do I used distilled water? How long to I let it flush before I add new nutrients. I am using the Fox Farm Trio.

Thanks in advance.

Here are some pics.

I aint that good at hydro, but you should flush with H2O2 I've herd and I'd wate a couple days or till it looks like it's doin better!!!

yes way overfert. dont need nutes until 2-3 weeks of growth. drain ur res and refill with plain tap ph'd to 5.8. gonna take a week or so to recover. do not add nutes until the lowers just began to yellow and use very very little nutes, like at most 1/4 of recomended. than gradually increase weekly

1st rule of growing...no nutes until they r ready-usually end of 2nd somewhere into 4th week depending on conditions. they will recover fine if you elimate the nutes. may look to be getting worse for day or two-no worries-third day should be looking good

Should I cut off the nut burned part of the leaves? Also, how do you know when to add nutes? What is a good rule of thumb. Thanks agian!

Here is some photo updates - They got worse and now they are looking better although the pics make it look like they got worse from the first pictures. My only concern now is when do I add nutes? The forth week starts this saturday and these are Diesel Ryders so they live for only 8 weeks.

Thanks again for all the help. This community is great!
