Nutrient Burn - Please help !!

Hi guys,

I'm three weeks into grow with fem Fruity Chronic Juice (white widow x Chronic), But my plants have started to burn to a yellow in places. I use amendments but at this stage, but low dosages of Ionic grow, and the line of AN piranha/voodoo etc. juices. I did add a small amount of seaweed meal to my compost, and wonder if it's breaking down now, has it pushed my nitrogen levels up too high? The only other thing I've added is molasses to feed the good organisms.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated. I've flushed them and in general they are very green and lush, but I can't think why theyd burn. It's at the bottom of the plant too, so doubt light burn.

I've been growing on and off for about 20 years too !! I've been experimenting lately though.

Yellow is not a burn its a deficiency. If the tips are brown and cripsy thats a phos deficincy. You didnt cook your soil long enough and the amemdments didn't break down. Water with a seed sprout tea or coconut water. Then water the next time with a compost tea. Use fish hydroslate as the food stock in the tea instead of molasses.

Nutrient burns are red or reddish brown

Yellowing of lower leaves is usually a deficiency. Nitrogen and/or magnesium.
Too much P can lock out nitrogen and look like a deficiency. Increasing PPM makes it worse because it adds more P.

Ok, then I think I've added too much lime, and the resulting ph is locking out the nutes.. I'll add about 1/3 of the remaining soil mix with fully composted, clean horse manure and Perlite.

I'm moving them into 20ltr pots for scrog tomorrow.

Well, they're in scrog now sat in 20litre pots, with a full bag of composted horse manure and Perlite. Hopefully this will buffer the soil enough. They're looking much better now, and my northern light cutting I put in the garden greenhouse is flowering. All is looking well in my green finger world !!
