Nutrient Burn!?

I think I will start with like 1.1 EC total and feed water feed water...
I have to confess something to you dude. It's been at least a decade since I flowered a soil plant. Switched to hydro because of all the hassles watering a bunch of different size and different strain plants. Mostly coco now which is fed differently.

I was pondering your last post last night. Frequency of watering was the subject of my musings. So look at things over time. One month. If you were to do water water feed repeat...that would be a total of 10 feedings in a month. Water feed will give you 15 feeds in a month.. That is 50% more food per month.

Nutrient burn or salt accumulation tend to occur over time (though one feeding mistake can burn).

So I don't have a conclusion to this story other then to take that into consideration as you fine tune your feeding regimen.

PS I'm totally with you on calmag. I do like you...add the mg and Ca separately. That way I can meet the plants needs for both.

I'm not an expert, and I don't know.

I use tap water that's high in Ca and think I was locking out K along with some others (Zn?, Mn?), idk if you're using tap water, or how much Ca you're using, but excess Ca do lock it all up. I re-read your posts and realize you're pretty apt in your knowledge, and so I don't mean to talk down if this is all stuff you already know, I just figured better safe than sorry. :bigjoint:

I know what you mean! But at the first feeding, I just added 0.5-0.6 EC nutrients. What you think is a low dosage for feed water feed water? I really don´t want to water 2 times.
Rather water feed water with a lower dosage because I think they can lack in nutrients -> lower yield...?!

I absolutely appreciate your tips!
I use 100% RO water. I remineralize my water so I know that´s ok... Last 6 grows were perfect. At the beginning I already got problems with CalMag and 100% RO so I switched to my old remineralizer and balanced the CA:MG with epsom salt.
The difference to my last setup is LED and -500w so maybe I need some adjustments.

But I think I will solve this shit. Plants budding right now! It´s acceptable!!!

Cheers

PS: Sorry for my english. I´m tired/high/lazy !!

@JohnDee I think that made a big difference: fans not directly on the plant and larger distance betweed canopy and led! they look better imo.
EDIT: I measured my old distance. I think it was just like 22-25cm :O

Findus,
Those seem like quite light doses...but that's not the total EC is it? Bump it up slowly...but ec 1 might be a good number at that stage. Seriously Findus...I can't and don't want to give you numbers. It's your plant and you are there with it. Read the leaves and color. You are doing bloom nutes now?

Yes you´re right! I´ll need time for the adjustments with LED I think. I use 3 part fertilizer and right now NPK 8-6-12. I´ll water with 0.6EC nutes, 0.4EC is my base!

One thing I´ve often had are yellow upper leaves always around day 15-20.
German board user say it´s burned if it´s yellow in higher area and it´s N deficiency if it starts in the lower area. But I also can´t believe that. I always feed like 0.4-0.6EC after lower leaves turn yellow (N def.) and they often turn light green. I think it´s always a litte less N at the stretch.
They confuse me since 5 years of growing :D
I need to start doing what I think is right. If it isn´t I need to do it the other way.

Hey @JohnDee ! I´ve got the next problem... Maybe you know what this could be :D

Yesterday I slept at a friends house.
Last watering was just pure water, before 1.1EC total. Drain pH and water are always perfect...
And today some of my tops look like this:
