Nutrient problems/questions/pictures

I need some guidance. Just a few days ago some spots appeared on a few leaves on both plants. 1 of them also has yellow tips on ONLY on the very bottom leaves. Possible nute burn? But how could I have deficiencies if I am using full strength nutes? After reading some stickies I think I found the answer. Looks to me exactly like a calcium deficiency. I was confused because I have been using full strength pH perfect nutrients. The plant with clearer spots doesn't have any yellowing of the lowest leaves. I read that over-strengthed nutes can cause a calcium deficiency and often times the 2 are confused. But wouldn't they also be showing signs of nute burn? I am definitely switching my nutrients to half strength. Anything else I should do? 20121012_210658.jpg20121012_210722.jpeg20121012_210733.jpeg20121012_214653.jpg20121012_210557.jpg20121012_210631.jpeg20121011_191431.jpg The last picture is just without flash to give you a better feel for the color.

Just FYI, I did have a calcium def when I was using full strength -- there just wasn't enough in the full strength version of my nutes for my particular strain, I guess. A little Cal/Mag (followed the label) stopped it in its tracks.

You are probably overfeeding your plants and your leaves look leathery from too much water IMO. I'll keep this bookmarked and keep checking it. Or hit me up on my skype or yahoo

Do you not own a E.C meter ?........ Always start babies on low level EC and build up the strength of nutes to suit plant, I usually start 1.0-1.2 and build up to recommended dosage, signs of nute burn etc then drop EC back down a little, make sure PH is always correct, good ideal to have Cal/Mag at hand I case of this def.

No EC meter for this grow. Will definitely be working my way up to having ALL necessary equipment, but for now I am trying to make the best with what I have.

Hmmm what does too much water in a DWC mean- not enough oxygen? Or should I lower my water level a few inches to expose more of the roots to oxygen...

I know I have been overfeeding my plants and I am currently fixing that. I am just wondering why the only thing that would show would be a calcium def.... if a calcium def is due to too many other nutrients like N and K, wouldn't my plant be showing signs of nute burn? Or it possible to only be showing a calcium def when over ferting
